    DG Shoes

there is a huge post on this elsewhere, i mean huge. anyway, i wear patagonia boaris's. they look like skate shoes almost, but they have vibram hiking soles and are super comfy. they come in two versions, one with more ventilation and one that is more waterproof.

    winter getting you down?

i got them on sale at dicks for $35. the warmest pair (they have a super warm lining) retail at $70. but i think it's worth it for the comfort. it bugs the hell out of me to play in jeans, or even warm ups or anything.

    winter getting you down?

i have the basic pair (they have three types) and i just wear them with tall socks and gym shorts. it was 20 degrees with wind and snow yesterday, and i stayed just as warm as i would have in any other pants. i just like them for the range of motion, i can't play in pants, don't know why (a...

    winter getting you down?

i think i might actually like playing in winter more. i just wear some under armor leggings and shorts to maintain my flexibility but still stay plenty warm (it was 20 and windy with a lot of snow fall yesterday). in winter you don't have to wait at every hole, and i'm usually by myself, so it's...

What number is your home course?

well my home course isn't on the list, but, i'm glad to see that #1 is right here in good old michigan. i've played it, and it's true.

    winter getting you down?

is it just me, or does it seem like everyone has gotten more hostile since winter has come around? instead of people having really good disc golf discussions, it seems to be a giant flame war.

Tournament Idea.... a challenge to the PGA

unfortunately i think that the baller has the distinct advantage here. i think we can all be honest that ball golf at it's core is far more complex and difficult than disc golf. just in the very beginning phases. perfecting both take a long time and a lot of skill, but just hitting a golf ball...

    Don't be a DB!

i live in the north and i think you're being whiny. if you go out snow golfing you have to expect there to be ice. i know my course is almost covered in it. get a bag of "salt" (not really salt, but you know what i mean) and go clean the pads if it's that big of a deal to you. if it's a big deal...

    Don't be a DB!

i had said earlier that i didn't realize that salt ruins concrete. and then i looked at the bag of stuff we use and it's called "green fire" which is environmentally safe as well as safe on concrete/stone. i guess salt is just a generalized term for ice melter here in michigan.
