I used to throw one, until I lost it. Then I took some years off, came back, and remembered that I really liked my Bulldog for windy days. Went to a disc store, was shocked that it was no longer made.
The guy working at the store said the Skeeter would be a good replacement.
I don't shop...
I saw these at fleet farm a few weeks back, and thought to myself "it'd just be better if they didn't carry ANY discs!"
Even better was the Halex basket for $90. Yikes.
I have a gripline medius and an opto river.
The river has become my driver of choice-long, controllable
The medius has (gasp!) taken over a lot of throws from my Buzzz. Its a fast mid, but has a consistent fade, and I love the Gripline plastic.
I prefer throwing an anhyzer or turnover shot if I need to go right(RHBH), as forehands are stupid and for cheaters.
But in all seriousness, I tried to develop a forehand, and it was hard and I have elbow tendinitis, so I don't. Except for forehand anhyzers with a putter or mid - thats my...
#2 Upshot
Its a great feeling wind putter for me. Shallower rim, soft enough plastic to stick. I was surprised when the guy at the shop suggested it, and even more surprised when I loved how it felt.
The 2nd LIghtning disc I've ever bought. The first that got thrown more than 2 times.
That Avon Skin-So-Soft stuff is absolutely money for Mosquitoes and gnats.
I keep a bottle of OFF! Family Care unscented in my bag. I spray my legs every time to help with the ticks, and cover myself if the skeeters are out.
I had a Z Flick, it was useless BH, but money OH.
I have a ESP Predator, and it gets a lot more use. Its my hyser disc-can throw flat for slightly less than my max D while going hard left. Can throw it on a hyser angle and get up over/around things. Good enough with the thumber for when I throw...
Based on a very small sample size:
Seems (to me, at least) that my Opto River is kind of like my CFR TL, only different. About the same speed out of hand, but less prone to turn (HSS) with less fade at the end.
Seems a lot like a slower (and more durable) version of my P line PD. I think as...
I use that stuff to de-funk my hockey gear all the time (the enzymes are great at killing stinky microbes of all sorts). It hasn't caused any issues for me as of yet. I think as long as you let it dry well before you wear the straps, it should be no problem.
Threw my P-PD for the first time today. Seems like junk, as I grip locked every drive with it into a tree way right of the fairway.
On a related note, my Beasts, Orcs, Surges, Crushes, Katanas, Cyclones, Buzzzes, and even Wizards are also junk today.
