I've been fortunate to play 6 of the current top 10 (plus some of the former top 10) as I USED TO travel (predominantly around the USA) a lot for work before the you know what came....
Have played:
2. Selah Ranch - Lakeside
3. Flip City
5. Rolling Ridge
6. Idlewild
9 Harmon Hills
10. Blue...
One disc remains from my very first disc order 18 years ago , a DX Rhyno. That thing has gotten me out of the $hit more times then I can count, almost feel like I am using the force when I throw it from under 75 feet
Have played courses all over this great country, a few standout as being good bomber courses, or at least having good bomber holes:
1. Blue Valley, Kansas City, MO - great example of a bomber course and my personal favorite in the KC area (Watreworks is soooo overrated)
2. The Woodshed / The...
Not quite a critter, but saw a wild horse on the Selah Ranch - Creekside course. It walked right up to my disc at the 4th hole, like it was marking it for me. Didn't notice it as I teed off.
Have a scary incident from a few years ago at Cranbury Park in Norwalk/Wilton, CT:
My buddy tee'd off at the current hole 16 (although, I believe it was hole 15 back then), threw a nice flying drive near the tree on the right side of the hole. There is a small blind spot before the tree as the...
I'm looking forward to using it at Wickham Park for a two round outing whenever the course reopens (after the snow melts). Over/Under is 22,222 steps for the two rounds.
A few courses:
Treasure Cove was surprised it was only a 3.71. It is a picturesque course and was enjoyable experience and round then other courses similarly rated.
Cannot understand how Wickham Park is only a 4.19 to Cranbury Park's 4.13, that's just loco. So I'd say that Wickham is...
Have played all three numerous times and Warwick is way better than both. The main problem with Cranbury is the park has a ton of traffic that can mess up a round.
I played Red Mountain - North and Moeur. My father just walked along, but didn't seem to mind. I liked Red Mountain a little more than Moeur.
Thanks again for the help!
Thanks for the advice! Have printed out the requisite info for Moeur, Paseo Vista, Los Olivos and Red Mountain - North for use on the trip. I think work is going to evacuate because of the blizzard about to hit the area.
I cannot wait to get away from the 2+ feet of snow that is about to hit...
I'm headed out to the Super Bowl this week, I'm not sure which courses to play out there, I'd prefer to play somewhere I've never seen before and I have played Buffalo Ridge, Fountain Hills, Fiesta Lakes and Vista Del Camino (Phoenix area) and Santa Cruz (Tucson)on previous trips to the state...
Forgot to mention Cranbury Park in Norwalk, CT. The course itself is ok, nothing special with a few nice holes. The real problem is the traffic on the course. I have played 143 courses and have never seen anything like it before, it's the other users of they park. They do not respect DGer's and...
Totally agree with Winter Park in Wisconsin, was one of those courses I was really amped to play and it just underwhelmed, especially since I picked it over other courses which I am now certain are better.
