DGDave's Dyed Disc Depository

It's also my first attempt at mostly freehand. The tip of the arrow and guide lines are the only places I used a ruler. I may go back and redo the letter with actual measurements.

Some dye got under the vinyl when I dipped it on accident. It looks cool. I wish I could get that look all around the edge. Oh well. On to the next one.

Here's one I just sketched on a mailing box. It has lots of curves and letters, so it should be a good challenge.

It may be a week or two for that one. I want some more practice first.

The meet thing about that doodle was that it turned out the perfect size for a disc. My wife looked at me like she was asking herself why she married me when she looked at it.

Lookin good man. The only way to find the mistakes and fix em is to make em in the first place.
Congrats on quick progress!

I was gonna post "Stay away from letters and fonts for a while.. They suck" but I never got around to it.

I lied. I went ahead and cut it. I'm really happy. A couple small bleeds around the hands. I did have a couple drops of dye land on the back of the disc from some splash when storing the dye. I didn't notice it until it set in a little.

I just figured out the tiny bleeds. Its from the deep ass hotstamp. If you've seen the Big D in the Desert stamp, you can see all the tiny details in the center and thats where it bled. It was a black stamp and those were burnt in deeper.

The Android one's didn't turn out great. They bled around the deep ass hotstamp and the esp didn't take the dye well. I like the others. I tried and sucsessfully got a flared edge on the blue disc with squares, but less than I wanted.

Hey Dave, try the blue one again, but cut out a circle that is smaller than your disc by a half-inch or so and discard all the stuff outside the circle. Then apply to your disc and dye, with a small black frame around the outer edge and no wing bleeding. PM me if I didn't explain it well.

Stupid Discraft ESP stamps. They must employ convicted arsonists to do their hotstamping.

I thought about dying the rim. I wanted the bleeds, I just didn't get enough of them. If you look at a couple pages back, I messed up on the disc with hyzer on it, but I like the effect that it got. I tried to recreate it and did it slightly, just not enough.

Also, the esp discs started peeling really bad when taking the stamp off. It's weird.
