This was one of those courses that gave visitors the real vibe of the community. A nice course in the college's shadow, a gritty undertone topped with some spectacular views. I am sorry if this course will not be replaced. :thmbdown:

If DG drew those kinds of crowds there would be more money available for it as well.

So is this ^ the city's trade-off for this v ?

That and Roy G Guerrero apparently. RGG is a really nice course, and Zilker is undergoing a $200,000 facelift right now, but I never got to play Pease Park. Pretty disappointing. It looks like an awesome place for a course. They should talk them into doing 9 holes. Who knows, that might play at this point.

I like how people buy property with a back yard that abuts public land, and then says, "We want our privacy!" :doh:

Why is it that people move next to a park thinking they own their view, then the park gets developed and they claim it is their space?

"The view from our back yard is going to be very, very impacted by this crazy, crazy idea of golf discs," Walker said. "I don't care about it. I want my back yard. I want my view. I want my privacy."

She moved from New York... maybe she had a backyard, maybe she had a fire escape... but I somehow doubt that disc golf is going to impact her view very very much in any crazy crazy way...
