Barry set course record from short today. 41 on 20 baskets. 1089 rated. Only missed one basket which was a chain out and a basket you are happy to get 3 on. This course has had MANY tournaments held. It's a big achievement. He's leading a 4 way tie for 2nd by 12 strokes going into the 2nd day.

It's a B tier, in the winter time, in the middle of nowhere. Greenville, NC has a couple nice courses, but eastern NC is sparse to say the least. Having a dozen players in the high 900's is a very strong field for this tournament, in this location, at this time of the year. I think you're spoiled by thinking of NT fields or big A-tiers.

Nevertheless, Barry smoked the course, particularly in that first round, and won by a lot more than ratings would suggest. Nice shooting Champ. :clap:
