We have a big group that plays. We take turns being the guy to walk the course before the round to put lights on all the baskets. I don't think this is necessary at all- we know where the baskets are, and can easily shine a flashlight on them if we forget. If I am playing a lost minute round, I often won't bother lighting the baskets at all. But it is just so much cooler driving towards a lit basket (especially on ace runs), or getting to the top of a hill and seeing almost nothing except for a bunch of lit baskets spread out before you.
