I am glad to be here. I played disc golf a decade ago or so for few years until the friends that I played with moved out of the area. Never really worked on form or technique. I would like to get back into this again. Any recommendations on which disc would be better suited for me? I am not looking to buy any new discs at least not right now.

Few more discs. Some are brand new and I have no clue what they are.

Not really a question that can be answered. What works for you is based on your form.

Take all your discs and go out and throw them.

Start at 50 feet to target. Then 75', then 100', keep moving back until you are out of range.

Basically you want to test the disc.

Note that one throw doesn't mean "this disc sucks" or ""this disc is da bomb!"

But you will get an idea of what the discs do for you with a little time and throws.

For the discs that you don't know what they are....newer discs are starting to 'mark' them. If they are Discraft, you will find the disc name inside the rim. Other discs may have the name "tooled" on the underneath - it could be raised or "etched". Sometimes it will be written in marker and may be an abbreviation of the name.

So, first see if there is anything written on the bottom - if so, post it here and we can help identify it, you can also run your finger over the inside of the rim and see if you feel raised lettering - if so, that should be the disc name, if still nothing....then hold the disc upside down, turn it and tilt it to see if there is a name (and sometimes weight) etched or raised on the bottom of the flight plate.

Harder to do, but you can also get an idea by measuring the rim width, depth, and flight plate thickness.
