Why do I disagree with you on this? I think a pro could win with that bag... I really do believe it is the archer not the arrow.
Nah. It's both. You need a good archer with straight arrows.

This is just a guess- but for me, when I think Don Smith, I think Legacy. Don's been hustlin Legacy online and on the road for 6(ish?) years. Even though I knew he was considering a change, it still came as a bit of a shock.
Take a look at the CCDG videos on "Battle of the Eras" and "Starter Pack Challenge". McBeth, Sexton and some others used discs that they weren't used to. Yes, they did pretty well, but did have to make some adjustments to what they were using. Fun videos and very interesting experiments...
I believe McBeth still shot over 1000 rated round and did so basically without drivers as the Leo got fliiippyyy fast.Take a look at the CCDG videos on "Battle of the Eras" and "Starter Pack Challenge". I'm no pro, but I can pick up a set of discs and play my game with them... it's a matter of understanding the discs you have and playing out your game with them... I've actually done this once when I left my bag behind and borrowed random discs from my friends... I played pretty well actually... well, to my level anyway

So yeah, I think he would still be a favorite to win Worlds bagging any oh the top 10 brands out there.
That wouldn't have been provocative enough for this thread, so I'll stick with "the favorite"One of the favorites, you meen

Yeah, but those were all decent molds...
I know, right? I didnt think it was possible until i read the Trilogy team application. Seemed antithetical to me too.
why do they call it a team? team blatantly implies sponsorship in this context.
As far as I can tell it's so you can pretend to be sponsored to impress your mom, people from outside the sport, and noobs.
The cynicism is strong with this one.
Team Trilogy started as a fan club for people that only throw those three brands. In my area it has really died off the last year or so but I still see occasional people supporting it. When it first came about, I too made fun of it and looked down on the TT people. I've kind of changed my mind since then...none of them claim to be sponsored, they have a good community vibe and it's not hurting the sport in any way.
As to sponsorship (and the reason this whole thread drifted this way to begin with) I wonder if Hyzerbomb is looking for more people because they are going to release some more discs this year? I like what they have thus far but obviously it's not a big lineup...and all of them but the Veteran are just re-releases of old discs. They have 18 people on their team right now but the only names I recognize are Roan, Keegan, Stokely, Zoe Andyke and Jake LaPutka.
I'm a not-so-closeted Hyzerbomb fan, if y'all couldn't tell...
He needs to join the jr secret Orphan Annie Society and get a decoder ring. Then they can send him a secret message. "Drink Ovaltine."
Gavin Rathbun from Innova to Latitude 64. That makes 3 sponsors in 4 years for the young Am Nat Champ (previously with Innova and Discraft)!
