[Innova] The Valkyrie, a discussion.........

Valkers:

If I were to cycle Valkyries as my main driver...Champion or Star?

i threw my dx valk yesterday with lots of hyzer and gave it some loft

the disc did all the work for me glide for dayz and flipped to flat with slight bleed to the right for rhbh

beat dx valks are awesome

I bag a max weight Champion with a 171 Star right now. The Star will season after a bit of use to that -2/2 stability. I like to keep the Champion nice & stable for FH's.

I prefer my Valkyries flat. Mild dome won't hurt.

To answer your question directly I think a max weight Star would suit you fine. Get 2 or 3. Valkyries in the mid 160's will be hyzer-flip right away on a BH if that's what your looking for.

An array of plastics. Start with a Pro or DX to get your beat one and a Star for more stability...rinse repeat until Champ is your most (over)stable relatively speaking. Eventually Champ, but like others have said it'll take wayyyy too long to just jump into the beat Champ world - unless of course you already have some that are worn or a buddy/buying used to get there.

Damn do I miss my old CE/JKs:doh:

There's a new stamp Champ Valk?

*still throwing JK Champ Valks*

what era? My JK Chmpion Valkyrie I no longer use is last of the Gummy made right after she won the fifth time in 2005. I hated the stiff first and then second run of Champion Valkyrie. in 2017 I got the Glow and it felt like the old gummy Champion when new. Now some of the newer plastic feels the same way as the gummy champion from mid 2000's from what I have heard and read.

I got my hands on a 10/10 Star Valkyrie with a patent number on the back. It's got a brewery stamp on it so I'm not sure if it's PFN or what. Is it worth anything more than your standard Valk?

Not really unless you know the dome of the disc domed, low,or regular. This saves players having to sort though stuff to find the right dome the player wants for a Star Valkyrie. PFN and after are about the same in price though if it is softer or harder Star to what side does it lean as that could help players too as they hate having to wade through discs to find the type of plastic grip to the disc. This could help a player that might be willing to pay $5 more then what a new Star Valkyrie is or have to make a Valkyrie they bought online flatter or more domed. I like the Star Valkyrie a low domed as this helps when I switch from a Champion glow or Champion gummy but not super sticky low dome to be the same feel. I use a low domed Star Valkyrie for windier stuff then my Champion glow as well as with the Star in wet/snow conditions.

Yes it's worth more than a current run but unsure of just how much anyone will pay for it. Patent#s were removed before PFN became a thing...is there a date on the stamp by chance? You may stumble across some old stock (pat#) with flight numbers, but no discs were produced with the numbers after the flight numbers were added to the stamp.

I gave the low end of price.

I hate to say because I'm normally not a Champion Valk fan...but the new embossed JL ones fly pretty nice.

I'm not sure why, maybe it's just the way the plastic molds up, but Champ Valks fly pretty well for me, while the Star ones are the Thunderbird-'ish' overstable ones...
