So, very cool they're trying to do this but I have a couple issues.
$50,000 for Course Signage
Let's say they're planning 6 full 18 hole courses. $50k would let them spend $400 per sign (those are some awesome signs eh?) and still have $7k left for "Course Maps, etc." That's preposterous...
I bought a red/orange Fuzion Trespass last week, and kept it in my bag for four rounds. Threw it probably a twenty times after some initial practice tosses.
I typically carry Destroyers. Either in Pro or Echo Star plastic just to keep the stability manageable. I throw 400' max or so.
I'm...
The question about whether some glide or lift would be sacrificed with the lesser wind resistance is answered for us I think by the lack of this geometry on airplane wings or other aerospace tech. A lot of brilliant minds working on those designs, and I've never seen a wing with a hex pattern...
I've not thrown the Rhino, but I've thrown a handful of other GStar discs. Each of those were less stable than their Star counterparts. I'd assume Rhynos continue that trend. Also probably pretty soft.
Rocs can cover most every midrange shot. Your saying that you're throwing Rocs 200-250 range makes me think that a fresh Roc should cover most overstable midrange needs. If you're looking for a really beefy Roc that's readily available, try a glow Roc3. I love mine for that.
But I've always...
I work in a machining and fabrication facility, spending a lot of my time doing costing and estimation. I don't know a ton about plastic injection (though we have machined molds for injection shops before) but I do know quite a bit about cost to manufacture.
First thing we need to understand...
I throw Predators and Eagles for my fairways. I carry 3 Eagles, all Eagle-Ls. Brand new, the Eagle acts a lot like my beat Predators, but with a little less LSS, so it fades a little less. But between 2 Predators and 3 Eagles, I can cover every fairway shot both backhand and forehand. My...
I would compare the OAT forgiveness of the Roc3 to a Z Buzzz. That good. I've turned both of mine over, but it's always an angle or wind issue. It's never the OAT-fluttering-wobble-over that torquing other Rocs does.
Yeah, I might not go that far. But I do see the Breaker as a shallower, and therefore slightly faster, Rhyno. Not quite midrange fast though. I guess it's kind of a tweener. Flight is about halfway between a champ rhyno and a zone. OS for sure, can handle my torque-ey sidearm.
The one...
Just wanted to mention that I picked up an F3 from the FlyMart at Worlds, and while I haven't yet thrown it, the plastic is unbelievable. Best plastic I've ever felt as far as I'm concerned.
Indeed not, sir. But if everything were played as par 3, he still would have finished -2 on an 8700 ft, mostly wooded course.
I'm interested to see how they do on White. I think they'll tear up Blue. But white has a chance to be the "survival" course. I think there will be some scores on...
They elongated the first 9 holes or so of the normal white course, then carved the back out of fresh property. I like the white course least of the three the pros are playing. It's still a great, challenging design, but there 2-3 holes that are a little ratchet.
They messed with Red a bit...
I live 30 min from Lemon Lake. I played Gold twice this weekend in the world's layout. I don't understand how someone can shoot -12. There are zero "cheat the line with power" holes. There is a 1200' hole and a lot of 500-600' woods type holes. There are maybe 4 holes that are supposed to...
