[Question] bee line

Yea, ABC gets no love here, or probably anywhere for that matter.

The only disc of theirs I've thrown is the Gold Flying Squirrel...which didn't feel that great. I need to give it a good work out before final judgement.

picked a couple up from marshal street today similar flight to a tourney king. very fast flies far pretty easy distance. the plastic is great. ABC makes a quality disc.

got a chance to see and throw it at ledgestone super tour - I was warned to release it on a huge hyzer because it will flip hard... Well I let it out around 7oclock and it still flipped super hard.

FWIW, I did see an advanced/open player girl in my area throw it 400ft+ maybe 30-40ft short of my boss. (hole 18 @ Morton)
I was impressed till I threw the disc myself.

Feels sweet in your hand but wayyyyyyyy to flippy for me. And not a fan of how the top of the flight plate gets that clover leaf sink top so fast.

I play with a guy that throws a flying squirrel (I'm not sure the plastic type) and he said he absolutely loves it. It felt very similar to a comet, but appeared to have a slightly less stable flight with lots of glide. It definitely intrigued me. Anyone else thrown abc?

Sorry if this is off topic but when I saw the title to this thread I though they had announced the name of the 2012 Ace Race disc :p. It flies straight and Discraft loves stinging insects so... well you know. On topic, I've never heard much about ABC except for the flying squirrel and maybe the Secret Weapon.

The Flying Squirrel replaced my Comets once my Wasp beat into straight. It flies more like a slower Meteor for me with natural turn but without the lower speed hyzer problems of the Meteor. Admittedly the rim is not the most comfortable, but I had no trouble adjusting to it (great flexible plastic!). It just slowly glides right on me and sits where it lands. I haven't thrown any other ABC discs.

The Mission is a very solid mid ... Very much like a roc with a great champ/z plastic.
Secret Weapon sits between a Valk and Sidewinder.

I got a chance to throw the 2 i got in the field along with tourney king, 157 blizz katana, esp nuke, a z nuke ss, and a pdd2. the bee lines were more stable then the nuke ss and the katana, and less stable then the esp nuke. it was in the same stability as the pdd2 and king. I was putting these disc all out about 400' RHBH. The plastic is there platinum which is kind of between star and lats. GL IMO.

The flying squirrel is a great turning hyzer flip mind like an x comet in better plasic.

The money putter is an over stable bead less putter that flies like a rhyno. I like if for my FH approach disc.

Mission is solid stable mid.

haven't thrown any of there other discs.

Bronze plastic = dx
Gold=champ
Platinum=star

Sounds sweet. Maybe I should try one then. Love my C-DD2. May be a compliment to it?

i am putting the bee line in the bag next in place of my broke in esp surge for a while and realized i have more abc molds in the bag then anything else.

I picked up two of these at the Ledgestone Super Tour a while back. They were from the purple 167g run. Like TheArnoldPalmer mentioned, these purple ones are very flippy.

Fast-forward to today. Dan Pastore came out to Hinsdale leagues at KLM Park and brought a stack of orange Beelines marked 174g.

HOLY. SMOKES.

These orange ones CRUSH. They are much more stable in my opinion. The purple ones would flip close to a roller and usually hit the ground with an edge. These orange ones will flex out, but they never come close to burning out.

If you give the orange ones a little bit of hyzer and a firm snap they will pop up and glide for days--eventually fading out left. If you give them a bigger rip they will pop up, glide and pan gently right for miles. Big distance potential in my opinion.

I still have a lot of testing to do, but I could see them replacing my Katana. They fly very similarly, but the Beeline has a ton more glide (not that the Katana is a slouch in that department). The Beeline plastic also feels a lot better. Almost like an XG Star. It's cool.

For reference: Purple 168g -- pretty flippy (maybe better for weaker arms?)

Orange 174g -- sick distance. More stable. Worth testing out for sure if you like big D.

more like sidewinder rr, very flippy, fast, powers down really well. wing kind of similar to an fd. on 16 at west thompson i would hyzer flip it, fly straight for 300 before it started its turn. had one for some time before 17 at buffum gulped her

good info money and penguin. looking for something like this, and love supporting smaller companies.

threw a squirrel for a while, gold line org, which felt kind of cheesy but its really resilient.
squirrels can really glide. they were touchy once i really developed an arm but they would glide for days.

id like to find out what the rim size is on the bee line, not on inbounds or listed on abc site.
