BG AMS!!! April 12, 13, 14

Had a blast at my first BG Ams! Got to play golf with some great guys including several from Pandamonium Discs. Those guys were cool as hell.

I was definitely the model of "you can't win a tournament at the beginning, but you can lose it." I shot OK, a consistent first 3 rounds at 917, 914, and 915. Turned it on at Basil for a 964, but it was too late. Just a couple missed putts here and there kept me out of the hunt. Preston Miller seemed to be the game changer.

And I too need to learn a good, consistent forehand.

Ephram White kept me from the final nine. I shot a 59 with 8 putts hitting center chains and going straight through. With those staying in I would've been -10 on that course and tied for first. Kinda pissed me off, but I got over it and went home to see my 3 day old nephew!

Other than a major bug attack (chiggers i think) at Philmore, I had a great time! Met tons of cool people kingjames and his wife are awesome! Everybody happened to love on my baby girl Nikko too so it was a great weekend, flymart was awesome as well! Not sure how many dgcr's i actually met lol oh and met craigd as well, all in all great weekend, can't wait for next year!

-4 won Hobson, and two ties at -3 for second and third. Gave away Thursday evening at Check in, had results posted on Wha Bah Window.

Nice^^^^. Big thanks to Howard and all the BG crew for good times. Great all around set-up with Wah Bah as tourney central. My wife really enjoyed playing, tho she's just getting over a full day of checking courses in the rain on Thursday. Is it just me, or was there a conspicuous PDGA absence at this event?

Pandamonium would like to thank everybody who made it out to the event and thank every person who came up and talked to us and shot the s%&t with us. It was great to see everybody and sell all of you guys some amazing products. This was our most profitable event to date and we will be putting it all right back into the sport we all love.

Too bad you guys have such terrible taste in football teams...:)

SKOL VIKINGS

The PDGA player fee is paid by the local tourism after the event, and this takes lots of time due to board, city, and county approvals for that $2500 grant. Should be done by next ratings . . . .

I hope this is referring to the bureaucracy because HB put on one hell of an event.

Doesn't matter whose fault. It sucks. Some people needed the boost from this tourney to register for USADGC. Now they can't. It's going to be nearly 3 months after the tourney before the ratings are reflected. (July 2nd update) If it's known this could be an issue, then a way around it should be thought of up front. (pay the fee, and have county reimburse maybe?)

This is the biggest am tourney of the year (possibly next to worlds) and for it to not be official in ratings for 3 months is ridiculous, no matter the reason.
