I have a proto star and a KC tern in my bag. The KC is just a bit more overstable when I throw it, so I use them both often.

I've got a 175 champ Destroyer in the bag from 08 that is slightly broken in. I purchased a Tern with the same PLH and the same dome. At 425' the Destroyer is straight with a strong fade, at the same distance the Tern has a slight high speed turn and a later fade that is not quite as strong. I recently purchased a flatter champ Tern with a lower PLH and a domey champ Tern with a slightly higher PLH, I'm assuming these will become my less stable and more stable Terns but I'm getting over an injury right now.

What's the difference in the flights? I just got a stock champ one and am wondering how it is going to compare?

the KC one is def. more overstable then the proto star

i haven't been able to really rip the metal flake one yet, but the tosses I have done have been even more OS then the climo

I recently got a Champ and Star Tern. I just love these discs. I don't have big distance but this disc is the first thing that i can throw over 350. The two different plastics pair very well together to cover slightly overstable to understable.

if so, I only throw on valk, and i use it only for thumbers, so i can't make that comparison for ya unfortunately

I have a Champ Tern and it flies way os for me. I also have a vip sword that flies about the same. I just can't get either one to fly flat for me. They both Hyzer off hard. Both awesome plastic, just can't throw!:wall:

I'm still trying to get my backhand throw back from a shoulder injury, but forehand the champ tern is insanely long. Perfect amount of high speed turn and low speed fade to get the best forehand distance line for me. The trespass is long, but the tern is even longer.

metal flake tern, OMG

I am getting 30 feet farther then any other driver I've ever thrown with this disc. The first time I threw it, I parked the long basket on my home course hole 12, which I usually can't even get to the short basket. Thought it might be a fluke but repeated that distance on hole 13.

star terns 135-159g anyone have experience throwing starlites? would the really lite ones only be good for tailwind bombs?

Hmmmm. There just might be a 150g in my future. Along with a Star to try the flippy -4 hss version.

Today I just figured out how to throw my Champion Tern in a headwind better. My Destroyer got kicked out of the bag for now. It surprised the heck out of me when I was slicing through the wind with it. All I did was adjust the angle of my throw.

To the above poster the Star Tern is sweet. It is a great Hyzerflip Disc or if you throw it flat watch it bomb into a anhyzer.

The Starlite Tern has me wanting one now. :thmbup:
