I currently use a single NutSac as my bag. It's great, I love it. However, for league play and tournaments coming up this year, particularly when it gets warmer and I'll need water, it really won't work. I've modded it with clips and whatnot to hold a Camelbak and other things, but then it gets sort of ridiculous with all this stuff hanging off of it...it defeats the entire purpose of the NutSac.

So now I'm in the market for a new bag. I've had a Fade Gear Crunch Box and really liked it. I'd like something around the same size (I'm not likely to carry more than 10-12 discs), but with more versatility. I really like the look and features of the Gorilla Boy Silverback, but I'm not a fan of the colors currently available. Plus, at almost $100, I wonder if I should just got for broke (literally) and move up to something like a Grip.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Price is not really a barrier.

Voodoo - Mojo! Priced right although you may have to wait a bit, well worth it. Perfect size for the number of discs you carry and a ton of versatility. Much more durable than the Crunch Box.

A GB chimp is a very solid and well made bag. Its a bit bigger than the crunch box, but not too big. It will give you some added storage capability without having a super oversized bag when youve only got your 10-12 in there. I believe it retails for $65. Im sure Voodoo has an equivelant bag in a similar price range. Both companies have solid rep's for the most part. They are quad compatible, but you dont have to drop $40+ on quadshox. Innovas straps are ok for the price although, not as comfy as QS's. There are more options for straps now than before, DGA, voodoo, fade, DIY straps from a hardware store etc.

Never used it but the chimp is exactly what you are looking for, and at 100 dollars you could make your own grip bag. Anyway I think the chimp is what you are looking for

Crunch Box works great. My wife and daughter share a crunchbox, and there's about 15 discs in there, plus room for both of them to carry water and snacks and other miscellanious stuff. I also used a Crunch Box for awhile and myonly gripe was that wacky loose putter pocket. If you've already got one on hand, I'd go for that.

The best quads I've found are from Brown Bag Tool Company. I used them on my Innova Competition and my wife/daughter have it on their Curnch Box. They run about 25 bucks at Home Depot or on Amazon. It's made for a tool belt, so it is super durable and it has a handy cell phone pocket that I use for my Copenhagen.

The other two suggestions (from GorillaBoy and Voodoo) are also pretty choice. I have friends who use both those models and they love them. Similar to a NutSac is a Ching JamBag. It has two water bottle holders and a cool "bowling ball bag" design. My wife's friend uses one and she loves it...she fits 12 discs in there easily. It has internals torage pockets for cell phone, keys, etc.

If you're lucky enough to have a disc golf store nearby, go and peruse their selections. SOmetimes bags are all about how they feel, just like discs. My last piece of advice is if you decide to upgrade, try a Revolution DualPack like I use. There is an optional divider included, which takes up some space nad helps orginization. You would have no that leaves you the putter pocket (which holds three) the upper storage compartment (which is huge) the two watter bottle holders, the two side storage pockets and the bottom storage pocket (really only fits pencils, sharpies and scorecards) to hold all your stuff. It feels super comfortable, is durable and is reasonably priced.

Good luck, let us know what you choose!

I have a Fade Crunch, DGA Elite Shield and a Cabelas DIY Angler Pack back. The DGA Elite Shield bag is very nice and lightweight. Hook a pair of quads on it and you are set. I think I purchased my Shield bag for something like $47.99. Good bang for your buck. I also purchased a set of the gel straps from HomeDepot and attached to it. I think all total, I spent something like $65 and I have a bag that I can use for 10-16 disc's. I hardly even use my Fade Crunch anymore.

You could go with a bag like the fade tourney. It's a little bigger, but has nice side pockets and a couple water bottle holders. My fiancee used one for a long time, and she was only carrying 12 discs or so, instead of filling the main pocket completely with discs she used the dividers to create a space in the middle that would hold extra drinks or a hoodie or whatever else you want to carry.

I'm leaning heavily towards the Mojo. The disc capacity, versatility, build quality and availability really has me sold.

Just so you know, I am absolutely completely happy with the Mojo, but it is a little heavier than most bags of its size. I would also not recommend the Voodoo Straight Jacket quads. I have them and they are very well made with a few interesting features to boot. But they aren't as comfortable on my shoulders as Phenix quad shocks are.

Don't let my couple little negatives put you off, I believe the Mojo is the perfect bag for the size you are looking for

^Yup. I love my DGA Elite Shield. I carry about 14 discs usually and this bag has room to spare. I have the side pockets loaded up with gear (towel, golden retriever, snacks, etc.) and use the protective sunglass pocket for my phone, sunglasses, etc. With 14 discs in, the main compartment still has room for extra water, beers, spare shirt or at least 5 more discs if I want to carry back ups/test discs. It also has a generous sized insulated drink holder and is built to last (strong stitching/zippers and a reinforced poly bottom with little feet so it stays up off the ground).

Yup! A Plasti-dipped Fade Tourney bag. Bag + shipping + plasti-dip + brush <$40.

Could you elaborate? Did you just paint the Plasti-dip onto the bottom of the bag? I noticed my bag got soaked after repeatedly being placed in the snow. how many coats? just apply until the plastic is a nice thick layer? how much weight did it add? Did you paint it over the entire bottom including the strap that goes under there? Any pics of the results? Thanks!

I've used the spray and the brush-on and I definitely prefer the spray.
Turn your Fade bag upside-down and use newspapers and tape to shield any parts that you don't want overspray on.
One can will make many coats.
Let it sit about 10 minutes between coats.
You might want to spray about an inch up from the bottom, all around the bag, for extra protection.

When you're done with the spray, turn the can upside-down and spray for a few seconds (do this someplace that overspray won't hurt) . This will get the residue out of the nozzle so that you'll get a clean spray next time you use it.

Last note, there's an entire thread about Plasti-Kote somewhere on DGCR Forums.
