I wish I had a video of the shot I had with my unLace at a tournament this past weekend. On a large down hill hole, 700'+ in distance with a drop of probably 100' in the first 200' of the hole, I was able to throw my unLace further than anyone else in my group. This happened mostly because I used the understability to let the thing really soar. It really is amazing what you can do with an unLace.
I had my longest throw ever this weekend with my seasoned Lace. Shot was probably about 10-15' downhill with a 10-15mph left to right tail. The hole was 600' from pad to basket, and I got the perfect rip on it and watched it pop to flat, then take an updraft from 15-20' off the ground up to 50-60' off the ground where it proceeded to flip over and track right for a long time before colliding with a tree pin high, about 40' up and finally coming to earth about 20' deep. It was one of those shots that showed me why I love this game so much, and was the highlight of my otherwise dismal performance at the tourney this past weekend.
Vibram discs have unreal distance potential. It just takes time to beat them in to get all that glorious glide.
