Talking/Yelling at your discs

GET SKINNY!! -When it's heading through tree branches

WORK!! -When I've flipped it too much, and need the disc to do it's job.

*&@$%!^@!!!!! -Everything else.

"local route"... referring to getting through some random gap.

typically heard when my group of friends plays

"No, No, NO, NOOO!!!"
"Don't Roll, Don't Roll!"
"Hit a tree, hit a tree, hit a tree"
"Don't go that way!"
"Please stay dry"
"Thats not what I wanted at all"
"Three points"
"Too high, too high" followed by someone else usually saying "who gives a s***, its gone?"

Lately it's just "FADE FADE FADE FADE FADE"

I think I need some new less beat discs.

"GEt your MOUTH of my DISC"~

That's borrowed from ball golf - in Rick Reilly's "Who's Your Caddy", he relates a story of caddying for someone on the PGA tour and, upon commenting on how good a shot looked while it was in flight, was told by the pro "Keep your mouth off my ball!".

It's another way of complaining about someone "nice-ing" you - I've used it before and get a lot of blank stares because it's only a good line if you've read the book and get the reference...

The best thing I've heard on the course - group behind us is throwing - we can see an obviously bad shot careen off a tree. Immediately after the kick, dude that threw it yells, "I HATE CHILDREN!!!"

We heard him screaming multiple times, but apparently that particular hole caused him to lose all affinity for other people's offspring. It was awesome.

In an effort to curb my swearing, I've stopped talking to my discs for the most part. After a bad shot I'll give it the hands on the hips disappointed parent look.

Craptacular is what I'm trying to work into my vocab for shots that must be commented on. My daughter is almost old enough to start coming out to the course with me and I don't need her picking up dad's disc golf talk

If the disc goes off line completly from what I intended, I'll let out a "Frak".

Sometimes when I hit off the basket and then it rolls all the way down a hill or takes a bad skip I'll say "You've got to be kidding me."/"Are you serious".

Did they really say "frak" on that show this much? I understand that those are just clips, but seriously??? I remember the original TV series and never watched the new one. It seems that "frak" was reserved more for the bad boys originally and wasn't the other expletive "feldercab" or something like that?

I played a round in a tournament in the Upstate of SC a few years ago with a local news anchor. Everytime he threw a bad shot he saidyelled, "that's just bush league." He quoted Anchorman throughout the round and told me the weatherman he worked with liked lamp and once he took Dorothy Mantooth out for a nice seafood dinner and never called her again.
