I dont find the Banger GT and Nova to be similar.....at all....

And that's why a thread like this gets a bunch of guesses over something that cannot be guessed. Different throwing styles result in different results. I know a guy who uses a Banger like a Rhyno and swears it's beefy. To me it's not at all. What would it do for (insert anybody here)? They may hate the feel in the hand and never try it. They might love it for (gasp) forehand approach shots and I have no idea what any disc does on forehand approach shots. So we all just throw out a bunch of disc names...He's going to throw the Buzzz. No he's not, he's going to throw the Wasp! He's going to throw something, so somebody will end up being right.

I've seen this stated quite a few times recently and it doesn't make any sense. He bags a gator now and hardly ever throws it... Why would a zone be any different?...

Way easier to have it stop where you want at shorter range/lower power, and smaller diameter too so it drops better. I know he uses Firebirds for short FH shots when necessary, but maybe he would start leaning on a Zone? Same with for shorter BH OS shots where the speed and diameter and stability of a Gator just makes it awkward.

Or maybe because he knows they will sell a lot with a bit of exposure. Look how popular Harps are, and Zones feel better in the hand with the same flight opcorn:

Using a Zone and putting his name on one to make money are two different things...

For me Gators are longer, more OS, less glide, and skip like crazy. Zones are like a fresh champ teebird in putter form. The e fabled shorter teebird

I just don't see the man changing his entire short game because he now has access to a disc that he had "similar" options to throw before, but didn't. Why people think he is all of a sudden gonna turn into Ricky or NateS just doesn't make sense to me.


Will he have a Zone itb? Maybe, even probably but that doesn't mean he will actually use it more than once or twice in a tournament. Just like he does now with gators/ax3/rats/caiman/etc...

I've been putting with a D Roach and throwing a JB and I'm really digging them. It's a straight shooter and I'd love to see some different plastic options for putting.

The Jomez crew hid a signed Roach putter with Paul's signature on it while they were filming that promo in Texas. So he must be putting with Pro-D Roaches (for now anyways).

He could try a Drone out in replacement of the Gator slot? Same speed and similar stability. Not sure what hes going to replace the Firebird with. Either a Predator or Machete?

I tried out a max weight Z-FLX Machete and that thing makes my champ firebird look like a child's toy. Stupid OS.

Do they make X Roaches? A stiff X blend would be as close as they can get to McPro for his putting putters.

For the Monster/FB/FD3 slot, I think Flick and Machete are both too fast for him. Predator is very close to FB, and a small tweak to the mold (PredatorOS?) would be spot on.

Those discs are smart choices from a business standpoint. Going to sell more buzzzes than wasps

Yeah I saw that, but he did throw two Discmania molds while with Innova, so you never know.

Why not the Focus? Of all the Discraft putters I've tried(Challenger, Magnet, Roach), this was my favorite, for putting at least.
