[MVP] MVP Disc Sports (Part VI)

Cool with me if you decide to opt out of the internet.

For the love of God, don't show them to anyone! You'd have to kill them.

I love how much you hate me.

It gives me reasons to wake up in the morning to know that you foam at the mouth to try and attempt to be "cute" towards me.

Yeah all the trolling, plus the recurring posts of people thinking they're funny when they are the 9th person to post that day something photo shopped along the lines of Eagle or Gannon to MVP.. First person gets a half a laugh, everyone else is just a non inventive copy cat, especially a week later.

I kinda thought Monday would be the day for Eagle to announce, it would be kinda funny if he announces where he's going on Tuesday, after this pixel drops (or a 10yr envy) and it's somewhere other than MVP haha. I'm still figuring MVP because my pro friend told me (who isn't associated with the brand at all haha).

And Eagles first TS disc will be a Prism proton envy.

At least he likes envys unlike that Simon guy... welcome aboard!

remember when these were the only drivers they made?

got one for putters too just ions and anodes.

The Volt is still really good too.

Will be interested in seeing Eagle make the switch, I usually like what he throws more than Simon.

He should adopt the Matrix as his mid since Simon pushes the Hex so much, I actually like the Matrix way better.

Yeah I'm excited to see the competition between them, the difference in bags and some eagle lefty shots. Now I can try and throw the same discs just like Eagle!!! (Til his shoulder heals haha)... usually I watch Arisugawa's bag.

Eagle is new to the ways of gyro, he doesn't know prism is wonky.

The only new gyro disc I'm anxious for is the Detour.
I just realized he said prism proton Envy with those, if they come out soft like the otbs I will be buying a few. Those are some of the best Envy I have

You can now pre-order on OTB Eagles prism proton Envy, and Simon's electron pixels in several different flavors and good pricing. so order yours today! I'll pass for now I'd rather order my weight and a bright color. I might even wait to show up at PIAS on the pixels.

Simon bags a matrix.

It's just not as good of a disc anymore in their lineup.

The reactor replaced it really well.

Yeah but he's never pushed it like the Hex. I just don't think the flight and feel of their the Reactor or Hex is as good. They are both touchier and I don't like how small the rim feels.

So you got big hands to go with a big arm, I get that the Matrix felt nice maybe a little beefy.

Well I don't think I made it 12 hours before I decided to buy those discs, Chance had a post up for pre-orders and I'm always happy to support him and his touring efforts. So I've got a soft pixel coming and two of the eagle envy's. Three in a box you know haha. Two for the bag, one for the shelf.

Word is the new soft pixel is a different softer blend of electron 😉

Not too big hands, but the Matrix is square finger friendly. And it sits in the hand like a Bard or Gila which are the most familiar mid shapes to me.

I got my retail sponsor to get me an Eagle Envy as well. They look pretty sharp, interested to see how they fly.

I'm hoping its standard proton. The soft is... okay I guess. But a straight proton envy would be baller. (for those who dont know, prism .. is just proton gyro rim)

Similar flights, but different hand feel. Both great options for that next step up from a Hex. (Matrix/reactor)
Yes and No. Now my experience with the matrix is old as well. The new ones fly weird. I'm used to that flippy boy they used to be. I got one left, I got it out... A while ago, and threw it. And. it just wasn't fun to throw anymore, was like throwing a brick.
I don't particularly care for the reactor either. I got it out a few weeks ago, it was okay to throw, but.. Other discs are just far more easy to throw.

"The Volt is the best fairway ever made."
Fixed it for ya.

Volt is probably the worse disc MVP has produced. It's had the most molding errors and flight errors of any disc, and probably has the most gross handfeel of any of them.

Now the thing that really tripped me out though, is this gyro box I got... The volt "shoulder" that they all had, This one had a lab second in it and it didn't have the shoulder.

In all fairness to the volt, its not a terrible disc, but the Tesla is far better.
And the shock was everything the volt was supposed to be anyways.

Which is why they stabled them up after the machine change over. Shock was their correction mold.

Hex is so easy to throw, duno about it being touchy.
I'm bagging a hex right now, but I usually throw the mustang for that slot in my bag. But... I'm just not throwing mids much. Either I throw the lobster, or a crave right now.

Yeah, I know the lobster is a "mid" but.. not in the same sense of a reactor or hex. It a flippy boi.

The old FR protons I have are some of the straightest and furthest flying envy I own, the OTB soft added a soft but pronounced fade in the circle with a very Mellow approach flight. I like the soft for grip and turn, less turn than the soft neutron and less fade. Same reason I like the prototype eclipse with the pyramid stamp. I will be excited to try an Eagle one.

The Volt I kinda agree with, great mold when it molded up right, the FRs are still amazing, I made friends with Chance by sending him one of mine as a backup... pretty excited to help a fellow Canadian who's sponsored (and a great guy who does a ton in tournaments and fundraising). Had a few of the newer volts and they're not right, I went Tesla as well so I could get discs under 172g and there's been some issues but I think they're back on track. Good control and wind resistant, massively underrated.

I liked my pfn volts. I must have been lucky with a good run. Super straight with a slight fade at the end. Very reliable.

My Teslas were inconsistent from plastic to plastic, ranging from meathook to having a slight turn with a healthy fade.
