[Innova] Do you have the WEDGE? (Yeah, I changed it. Don't go all Vegan Ray on me for it.)

^^ya what was that all about

I have been throwing a DX Wedge for about a month now. One of my good friends, who is a very experienced and knowledgeable Disc Golfer, showed me his.
I LOVE IT!
Anyways, I went and bought and use it for almost all of my approaches from about 125' in.
Bought a Proto Star for a keeper and just bought a production Star for a thrower. We'll see how it compares to my DX Wedge before I just switch over to the Star.

I actually carry one in my bag and it works nicely as a turn over disc with nice glide

The stars are nice, but I like the dx also. I use the stars for 200+, and dx for under that. But if its a short hole with lots of trees I'll use the star. Both plastics are surprisingly durable.

I just recently bought a Star Wedge after reading the reviews here. I can't wait for it to come on. It sounds like just the disc I was looking for in the range.

This disc is perfect for girls. So, if you are looking to give a girl a disc to start playing with...this is it. I mean, it was designed for kids in the EDGE program, so small hands will grasp it easily.

A new DX Wedge flight is similar on drives to a beatup DX Roc with around 50% power. The glide is really nice and with the zero fade, it is perfect for upshots. I think it's a really nice disc.

Lol, well that's awesome that I bought a girls disc. Anyone want a Star 175 10/10 for $12 when I get it then :(

Don't say that Gonnagal, it's just shallow...kind of like an XD, any fan grip will work! And you should be able to get some good finesse out of it.

That's what I was hoping for was a super straight disc and one you can finesse with. People also say the Valk is a womens disc, but I throw the heck out of that disc.

You pretty much are forced to finesse the Wedge;
As long as you don't throw it hard, it is so straight, it's damn near surreal

So I got to play a couple rounds with it over the weekend. It's a great turnover disc that holds that line very well if you really get on it. If not like others have stated it's a nice and straight disc. Personally I like it, and it's staying in my bag.

I have one -- just picked it up a few weeks ago. I like it and it will probably stay in my bag. I mostly use it for putting when I am a little too far out to feel comfortable with my Aviar (I release thinner discs better it seems). For mid-range and approach shots, I generally use my Impact -- the Wedge is like half-way in between IMO: feel/rim of the Impact, but in the gripper material of the DX Aviar. I found on longer shots, it tends to turn right initially with full power. With a light toss, it holds dead straight.

Garre

I've got a 175 DX Wedge that I've been really unimpressed with for the most part.
But, while warming up before a round throwing thumbers with several discs out of my normal rotation, I realized a potential niche for this disc.
It's a great, low-power thumber disc that doesn't take the wide, exaggerated flips and glides -- great for short, get out of trouble shots in tight, wooded spaces.
I figured I'd share this in case anyone else is looking for a specialty disc for this type of scenario.

My dad just got a Wedge, he said he loves the feel and it's his new putter. He is in an experimental stage. I haven't seen it yet, but it seems like a great turnover approach disc or dead straight up shot disc..

Anyone using one regularly?

yup
For the woods, it's the goods. Straight to about 150, smooth, steady right pull from 150-200. Flip at anything above above that.
And it usually sits down pretty well

The Wedge is quickly becoming one of my favorite discs. You can throw it softly and it will go dead straight, or you can put a little something on it and it will turn over nicely.
