I would actually drop the Leopard, pick up a DX Teebird, and beat it in. Leopards always seem appealing at first, until you start to really break them in and they just get too squirrely for me.
Soft putters can be thrown just as far as firm ones. I've seen people throw soft putters >250'. The difference is when you watch it come out of their hand. As they are going to throw, the putter flexes. That flex is what leads to inconsistency. Also, for the same reason, they do not make...
I don't drive with them enough to give you any advice there, but I putt with both. I always carry both. I use the Wizard for most putts. Everything open/hyzer inside of 40'. It is just dead straight for me inside that range and rarely takes **** from the wind. It can hold a nice hyzer line...
^^ what he said. I'm not opposed to keeping 1-2 good trick shot discs in your bag. Stuff that maybe makes it out once or twice every couple rounds. Your Wizards should be capable though. Understable for me is the toughest spot in the bag for me to decide on. I think they are much more of a...
That's true. They don't handle winds well. The Gazelle is a better choice though imo than a Leopard would be. If you can, find a Pro Gazelle. These things are sweet.
Hmm you should talk to Blake about this. After talking with Blake about the differences, I won't be picking up a soft putter again. Putters don't "grab" the chains. Chains grab putters. Where you hit the basket is much more important when you are putting. You hit the basket in the right spot...
Excellent bag.
And yes, KEEP THE GAZELLE.
I went to an XL from the Leopard. The Leopard is no where near as consistent as a beat in Gazelle. Leopards seem like a good idea at first but as your game grows, they become more of a hindrance than a help.
The difference between having 18 molds and having 8 is that you no longer rely on the disc. More of the outcome is placed on you and the line you put that disc on. Most people that carry 18 different molds are throwing them one way....FLAT. And yes, when you throw everything flat you need to...
Blake's article on the short-arm putting style is excellent. It is a great style because it eliminates any left to right movement if you are doing it properly. You are pitching the disc out and not really trying to throw it. So the only misses you should have should be high or low. Another...
