Yea... you don't want an MVP spiking onto any hard surface. They handle skipping off roads though usually.

I had an absolutely comical throwler land on edge on a high school track and cut roll a good 200 feet straight down the straight away. It was funny!

But, to this point, it's not the first spike that my insanity has taken off the blacktop, and it's holding up fine. Sure, it's scuffy, but holding up great for the absolute abuse it's taken.

Entropy mini review:
Neutron LE, white, 169g

It feels somewhat like a taller, blunted Zone. The plastic is medium soft, which is stupid for an OS disc. It is somewhat touchy on spin; too little and it will turn. It also does not eat OAT like an Envy.

It is too deep and too soft to get a great backhand power grip and is best to use some type of fan. This is not a driving putter.

All these negitives yet I think it will make the bag. Unlike the Envy, which is very generalized, the Entropy is a specialist disc; even more so than a Zone or Harp. The Entropy is an upshot control disc. I found it very useful for bending around trees on my round at Richmond Hills yesterday. I also found it very useful for forehand upshots that I needed to range.

I look forward to this disc coming out in a proper stiffer plastic as this Neutron release is softer than Plasma.

For disc minamilists, this is not for you.

Thanks for the review... now I'm going to wonder whether to shelve it or throw it haha.. I'll throw it.. I gotta matrix coming too.

Just stopped in to say I nailed it with a fresh 155 Inertia threw a good forehand for me, weakass for FH players... got about 280' uphill furthest drive ever on that hole.. (The BH line sucks).. Definitely feeling like I've sampled the driver offerings and the Inertia deserves another chance at my distance slot.. I played the 155 in some harsh wind a few weeks ago out of desperation and it did surprisingly well. Stuff was flying Cray Cray... it held a fairly even line for the heavy winds. I wish I'd tried it sooner... lost a Resistor in a pond and flipped a Mayhem that day...

Well I'm already over the Entropy and I haven't got it yet! :(

I did get a 172 N black widow Halloween Envy.. I tried throwing it BH thinking it would be broken in more like my 165 plasmas.. Missed a lot of gaps.. Tried FH and it is a sweet laser, reliably hit some nice gaps. Extremely pleased with that!

On an opposite note pulled out my electron soft Envys and threw some lasers BH. A great 300' downhill 45 degree laser and a couple flat 220' dead straight again..

I've been accidentally connecting again more often so my timings gotten better. I got my Comet out to 260' yesterday I don't know why my drivers only going 300' how is it possible?

It could be that you've hit your ceiling... If you're an older guy for intance, it is possible that you just cant get enough speed on the drivers to get them any farther but the midranges can go almost as far because of getting good spin with some clean form.

Damn I suppose so... I am 42 and my knees are soft but damn! I know with a 5 or 10' height advantage I can throw 350+ easy. TBH though I was messing around without my regular Inertias and it is a 5' uphill grade, so that's gotta be 375 on flat net distance right.? ;)

Don't let one review sour your grapes!

I've been throwing mine a TON since I got them. I just got back from GBO where the wind was absolutely insane. I struggled big time off the tee, but the Entropy was plenty stable for every approach, even in the Kansas wind.

No, it's not the putter version of a Deflector. It's also not very similar to an Envy or Particle. It's a unique, overstable, and reliable putter. You should absolutely be excited to try it!

^^I know how you feel. before I hurt my shoulder, I went thru a stretch where I kept rolling my right ankle about every 4-5 months. Everytime it happened I put on a bunch of weight from not getting out to play. Every ten pounds I gained I lost 10-20ft on my drives. Went from being able to hit 400 on flat ground(with questionable accuracy lol) to barely over 300ft in a year and a half. Now I have to throw a hard flex with my fizz photon to get close to 300...:|

Yeah I don't think I ever cracked 400 on the flat in my younger years but I feel like I was a solid 350.. That last 50' hurts to lose. Of course I also remember back 10 years when I got back into it and I was acing a 250' hole with a panther because that was as far as I could throw an S shot now I try not to blow past it with a Spin..

Oh well it's probably time to try and add some extra stank on it.. I use a slow motion walkup and throw for that matter.. I'm going to practice speeding it up. I've been playing "carefully".

I'm still fired up on the Entropy I want to give it a go but that Neutron Envy is really fitting the bill for short FH.. I will feel funny packing my Nutsac with 3 envy though.

I had no intention of poisoning the well, but I did give an honest review.

It has made my bag, at least for now.

I played with a couple gentleman yesterday that both bag a Harp and let both field test it.

P1: throws low spin; BT? Harp.
P2: throws medium spin; Origio Harp

P1 liked the hand feel and flat top of the Entropy. P2 did not like the soft plastic of Entropy.

P1 throws were going about 20 feet less than his Harp(8/10 condition). P2 did not have his Harp in his small bag(minimalist player).

P1 throws were dumping hard whilst P2 throws were dumping, but with some fade.
(I throw with more spin than either and mine dumped less than either of theirs)

All 3 of us bag firm E Envys at all times.

It was very interesting to watch the shape of the shot change with the amount of spin each of us applies. It was getting to the low light portion of the evening, so I could not see the nose angle as good as I would have wished.

Will throw in a few days and check back. I have a stock stamp to throw. Idk if i can throw the special stamp...so damn sexy

That was kinda the way I'm going.. Haha I appreciate the review I guess I shouldn't use :( in such a cavalier way haha..

I got a SE Matrix and Halloween N Envy 172 in the mail.. Only threw the Envy and it's fitting the bill.. Got the Entropy coming 172 but I might shelve it.. For now. I always have this desire to collect but meh I also hate throwing stock stamps.. Too many look the same.

Less than a month to the big tourney here.. Gotta settle the bag and lock in my choices
