I heard about a new course in Concord at Hillcrest Park. Apparently, there is going to be a tournament at this course and Walden Park in Walnut Creek in September. Does anyone know anything about this course? Anyone played it?

Yes, Hillcrest Park opened for play a couple weeks ago. It's listed here on DGCR and U-Disc too.

Prewett Park in Antioch (greater Bay Area)
A new 9-holer opened at Prewett Park in Antioch on July 26. It's raw -- nice baskets (Pro 28s), dirt tee pads, no signage, no trees(!), and high weeds/thistles (which are gradually being cut down by the local players). Fortunately, it's also on a sizeable hill, so the shots are more interesting than you might think, and fairly scenic too. The one great hole is #7 -- 585 feet, drops about 80 feet, plays about 325. It's listed here on DGCR.

I think this is a temporary course that is only set up Monday through Thursday. Please check with the owners of Weddington FIRST to see if they want it added here. You should also find out if it is open to the public, cost to play and exactly what days the course is set up? I think it the disc golf is only playable in evenings and/or late afternoons. You should have that information BEFORE you add the course.
The weekly leagues have an active Facebook page. They play leagues on Mondays and Wednesdays. The league organizers should be able to give you all the hole distances, the name of the designer(s) and other information.

Weddington is already listed here. It is classified as a temporary course, so click the temporary course filter box when searching.
The course is only installed Monday-Thursday(?) with the layout tweaked weekly.
The course at Kenneth Hahn in Culver City is finally official and installed! Westside LA golfers rejoice... 9 holes for now. Excited to get out and play it soon - have only previously played the temp course for Beach City Bowl tournament.

Did you get to play the Oso Libre course? Trying to find some info on it. About a year ago, I spied a basket across the field, and our pourer said we should ask the owner if we could play. Didn't have the time then, but looking to make another trip. The property looked awesome.

Yes I did play it. Owner escorted us around and we got to play the course back when we were members there. Good times

New course in Cameron Park
Just finished dropping in 9 baskets at Camerado Springs Middle School in Cameron Park. Course is a P&A and only available when school is not is session.

A new 18 hole course in Thousand Oaks is now open for play.

This is a giant, brand new park! The course/park is still being completed, but the course is open for play now. Most tee pads are installed and the rest will be completed soon. The rough is still very rough in many places. There is a new parking lot at the intersection Avenida De Los Arboles and a new traffic signal at Kensington. This parking lot should be open all the time now, but it could be closed while the crews are working on that area of the park.

It was fine. I will add it to the rotation, but it didn't knock my socks off. Very similar terrain to Turtle Rock (only with a lake), but twice as far from my house. Will likely never be crowded as it is pretty isolated.
