After my first year of playing disc golf, I'm going to start playing at night. Rather, I need to start playing at night because there isn't much daylight after work now and oh my god disc golf is so awesome and I can't go months with only playing on the weekends. There are night leagues starting up soon in my area.
I have some equipment questions. If it matters, I live in northern Minnesota and so I will be playing in cold weather.
First, I'm thinking of getting these:

and I'm wondering what people think of them if they have used them. Maybe a silly question, but do the batteries drain faster in the cold? I would also take suggestions for other lights.
Second, I'm wondering what type of tape I should use. I've heard reinforced packaging tape, clear duct tape, and frost king poly seal tape. Just wondering what works best, and if anyone has any specific recommendations for tape that will work well in the cold and snow.
Third, head lamps. The better courses in my area are pretty rugged. Are head lamps commonly worn to find your footing? If so, any recommendations on what type of head lamp to get?
