I have the lid. The print is beautiful and the resolution is insanely small. Ozone knows how to make a proto disc!
Unfortunately, on the other hand I don't know how to make a good proto disc. It is a little understable. Not crazy understable but it will turn a little on a 100' throw which is not what we are aiming for. My best guess is that I did not compensate for the fact that it is faster due to the lower profile. It needs a little more mass in the rim. When I get some free time I will add weight to the rim to figure out how much mass needs to be added in order to get a neutral flight. NBD, I was just hoping to nail it on the first try.
Now for the good news:
Glide is good as-is right now. Adding weight should not affect it too much.
The in-hand feel is phenomenal!!! Absolutely LOVE it. I can't wait to get the weight allocation calculated so we can get a second iteration of this made.
I'll post video of the current state and the modified state when I get free time. I have been working 16 hour days for the last two weeks so finding time is difficult right now. Hopefully next week I will be able to do some testing.
Despite the understable tendency, I am really excited about this!
Again, huge thanks and shout-out to Ozone Discs for helping us out here!
