Thought I'd throw this up since part 2 has been running awhile.

So what fairways are you all throwing?

I've got a simple setup for my simple game:

beat dx Teebird - flips, up hill, max d
freshish dx Teebird - straight
dx Thunderbird - OS, wind, replacing with a gummy champ teebird (hopefully)

Champ Eagle-X: firm domey and super beefy
Star Eagle-X: flat and fairly straight up to 300'
Champ Eagle-L: firm and flat still fresh and slightly overstable
Star Eagle-L: slightly understable
Star Leo3: truly understable fairway
Luster C-FD: on the way hopefully will do what its supposed to

Depends on the course, (I don't like to carry everything with me).
The two that are always in the bag;
G* Leopard
Star Eagle-X

Honorable mention (those in my trunk cycle)
Thunderbird, G* and DX
Teebird, G* and Star
Eagle-L, Star and Champion
A few more Eagle-X's in Star and Champion. I like Eagles!
And a Big-Z Mantis

speed 7-8 are fairways for me....9-10 are distance

PFN Star Leopard, 175
PFN Star Teebird, 172
JL Champ Teebird, 175

Simple, and crazy effective.

3-4 Gazelles. Sometimes a Cheetah in that mix. But usually just the Gazelles.

3 Gazelles (Fresh Champ, beat-in Glow Champ, beat-in DX) and 2 Vipers (Champ, slightly beat-in Star)

my thread series got hijacked! Guess I deserve it, didn't really pay attention to it lately.

Fairways:
166 Gstar Teebird3(new)- OS, but workable
174 PFN Star TL(seasoned)- dead nuts straight
175 Factory Store Pro Teebird(beat)- I know people hate these, and so did I when new, but they beat into turnover machines. I was never a DX Teebird fan, and don't have a premium US Teebird, so this is a good other option for me

Thanks ilcmgee for keeping this series going

VIP Underworld x2 (165, 174)
2005 Players Cup Tracker x2 (165, 174)

The Underworld is a "control driver" but it goes farther than any of my other discs.

Got some Undertakers on the way, gonna test those out soon. I'm trying the Patriot right now too.

Wasn't trying to step on toes. Thought it was a good idea and with the Mid's thread resurgence, figured now was the time. :hfive:

In the bag now: Relay & Star Teebird. I also have a Champ Leopard and Pinnacle Patriot that I like throwing but don't bag.

Not sure if these count, but I also have an old Predator (Tsunami?), a new Predator, and a Firebird.

Kite (might be considered a mid): Glide for days
Beat icon Patriot: slight flip to laser beam
beat pinnacle rival: straight early flight with more fade at the end than the patriot.
Fresh icon rival: thumbers, flick approaches, flies like a baby firebird on bh throws. Love it.

Sticking to the firebird, teebird, Leo. Most boring part of bag, but so workhorse.

General small bagging:
Star pfn firebird
Star pfn teebird
Beat ch or pro teebird -or- ch Leo

Fairway Drivers
12x Champion Teebird
(Seasoned) 12x Champion Teebird
(Beat) 11x Champion Teebird

Control Drivers
(Seasoned) Sexton Firebird
Luster Champion Firebird
C-PD
(Seasoned) C-PD

Legend Mongoose
Pinnacle Patriot (beat)
Pinnacle Patriot (seasoned)
Sparkle Rival
Sexton Firebird

Flippy beat in Leopard.
New straight Leopard.
Teebird with dependable fade.
Predator as totally overstable utility disc.

Fairways-

Underworld-Easy manipulative distance 170g
Spark-Thumbers, Rollers, and Forehands

Control-

Hatchet-Straight and Glidey

Escape x2-Slightly Stable and glidey

Saint Pro-Slightly OS, No turn for my noodlearm

Convict- Hyzers, Forehands, Windy stuff

2 Firebirds -> 175g Glow Champ and 171 Champ. The 171 is actually the more overstable one though :D I'll eventually only carry one, but I'm still getting used to how the Glow flies for overhands, so for now both stay.

1 Thunderbird -> Decently beat up 175g Champion. Pretty much my go-to for when I don't know what to do or I'm throwing an actual fairway shot. My faster discs usually take more of my teeshots than the Thunderbird though.

1 Patriot -> 174g Icon. Still getting used to this disc but it's absolutely glorious. Fast, glidey, but it doesn't turn and burn.

2 old school z predators, mainly for precise long flicks but also for longer windy drives. 2 Trackers for my longest fairway drives with accuracy. One tracker specifically for long fairway shots that don't necessarily need accuracy. Trying out the undertaker at the moment.

  • champion Firebird: skips, spike hyzers
  • glow Thunderbird: overstable fairway
  • star Thunderbird: straight shots with slight fade, forehands
  • gstar Thunderbird: dead straight shots, shots that I don't want to skip
  • Barry Shultz champion Leopard: flex shots, turnovers
  • star Leopard3: hard turnovers, rollers
