Nice execution pacanova.

Panic is in town tomorrow night, we are playing a pre-show round at Swope (2 minutes from the venue :D) around 3.

Panic rocks!! love this dye.

Nice work on these last few pages!
Since no one has a dye for today I'll show this simple alteration. I lost my River in a lake and had to get a replacement. The one I found local was a funky colored weird blend of colors. It's a GL burgandy/rust almost color shift kinda thing, but not quite. And out in the sun it also has a small amount of sparkle in it. I thought it was ugly as sin, but had to have a river That Day... just incase. I just added some airbrush around the outside for now. May go back with a stencil later, but not much else to do on an already too dark disc.

^ dunno about that. made my buddy a sharingan (he loves a certain anime) on a red colorshift GL i got him. similar color to that. :) it's fun to find source images that allow you to work with a certain color, but i agree that for someone of your caliber it'd probably be boring to do a simple black stencil.

welp, here's one i just finished for myself, to replace the other gl striker i lost with the ff xii logo on it.

samurai champloo, an anime with a pretty sweet soundtrack.

you spoke too soon. :p

^Nice job! Is the background SC marbling?

nope; i usually just lay down a base layer color, then add a little bit more dye, mixing whatever colors i want in the with the base layer. to start off with i carve out everything in the vinyl, then peel of the black, paint it with detergent, then peel off the next darkest, then paint that, so on and so forth. my last layers (the sky, as well as the bottom black) are hand painted without any masking; the black borders help me cheat.

pretty much i just paint everything; i'd like to try SC but i feel like painting gives me more control over what i want to do and i'm afraid to screw up a disc because all of my dyes are on discs i use...

i fill up a big skillet with super hot water, float the disc in it topside up and keep the griddle on low; usually i get the color i want in 15 minutes or less, so it's nice for impatient people like me.

Good stuff on here! one thing about Rockford we have a lot of great disc golf courses but no water hazards :/

I'm going to try to add to the awesome. I have to credit DTP for giving me the tip about using baboo skewers for detail work. to practice I decided to do a 100 percent hand-drawn disc without stenciling. here are the results thus far...
