Worst Fake Terminology?

I've been prone to saying that my disc must've have found Jenny Craig (for a disc that suddenly get's skinny and sneaks through)

The 'scooby' shots seem to be a Texas or OK thing; they are essentially talking about a big spike hyzer over the top and back down towards the basket. Seems like 'spike hyzer' or 'hyzer-bomb' would be a little more descriptive.

I hear a lot of people calling different shots "scoobies". It seems like they've heard someone say that and since it sounds kinda cool, they want to use it real bad hoping it makes them sound cool. I'm pretty sure most people using this term have no idea what a real scooby is.

I like references to 'local routes' - or when folks shout "LOCALS!" as your disc finds some silly line through an entire forest of trees. I also enjoy when people come up with pet names for certain molds such as the 'S'Winder' or 'C-Roc'. Also enjoy the 'Quisenberry', a Crump'ism for the side-armed submarine thumber, named after Dan Quisenberry ... the best submarine pitcher ever (and former Kansas City Royal!). The lamest made-up word is probably "schule" - which, not shockingly, rhymes with "tool".

Is there anything that Texas doesn't lay claim to?

I made up a term 5 years ago when I started playing which my friends and I still use, but I wouldn't call it fake since there is no other better term for it:

Tree-nied - When your disc hits the trunk or thick branch of a tree and bounces backwards off of it.

Ha! that is a common term around here.

We use that one a lot. We also refer to ourselves as being 'tree-blind'. When you throw a shot, and it hits a tree or a branch that was DEAD in the way, but for some reason, you were so focused that you didn't even see it.

Edit:
Treenied is so common, that they made a shirt:
