I understand, it's just as a buyer, I kind of enjoy a more regulated economy. From an outside perspective, it's really cool to observe change, I just don't like paying more haha.
eh, anything with regulation you pay way more for than it is worth so that is where the issue comes in.. Although with many industries regulation is needed it causes additional taxes/charges/fees which otherwise would not be in place.
Gas, Dairy, Grain, Heathcare, Financial/Law, Phrama-- all veryyyyyyy heavily regulated and consumers are paying wayyyy more than actual costs for these products. Some pills have a mark-up into the 1000% due to all the R&D required for FDA approvals etc... Gas is taxed into the DOLLARS in some areas which would bring prices down regardless of how much demand there is-- in these cases the buyers do not determine prices and we get F'd!
