Looking to see what people use for short spike hyzers that need to stick. Do they stick all the time? Do they flip? Do they roll? Let me hear it

I don't throw spike hyzers that often, but if I do, it's almost always with a Zone. It either sticks or will do a funny flopping roll, then sit.

How short? I throw spikes with every disc in my bag depending on the distance and obstacles. For fairly short ones, a soft stable putter sticks nicely, I use an RFF wizard for that shot. The other option if you're going over something and really need it to stick where it lands is a grenade shot, a spike hyzer with the disc upside down. It goes basically straight up and straight back down and because it has some back spin it tends to just sit right where it hits.

Zone is the best short range (< 220') hyzer spike disc I've personally ever used.

It does such a natural arc to the target, it's ridiculous.

Firebird, I used to carry a DX Whippet but didnt use it enough so it got worked out of the bag

VP is my favorite spike hyzer disc. Watching a soft VP land on a spike hyzer is actually quite humorous looking.

the more OS the disc the straighter up and down you can spike it. a less stable disc will go up and then fade out so it finishes farther left than a more OS disc (thrown RHBH).

i'd use whatever OS putter you have in your bag for short ones. also do what mashnut suggests and learn a grenade or my personal fave the granny shot.

Rhyno, Gator, Viper, Firechicken, Xcal. In that order for Distance.
