2014 BHMO

27 holes of long tees at BHM DGC is no joke. I had a friend up there a couple weeks ago and he was disheveled, to say the least, upon his return.

27 on the short tees is no joke for me! Great course though, and just 20 mins from my house.

No, have a family thing today and will miss all the fun. I did go to the Pro clinic Thursday night, it was OK.

McBeast taking his foot off the gas pedal after those first 6 or so holes. Doesn't seem to matter right now with his big comfortable lead at the moment.

Everyone took a dump on 13. Is the hole that tough, or is it the weather?

Tough. Although the weather probably doesn't make it easier. I sincerely hate hole 13. It is my nemesis. The pro tee there is ridiculous, too.

I am debating going out by myself for the final 9. My brother is being a lamer so I have no one to go with. I live 45 minutes from Hambrick so it's a bit of a trip. Ehhhh...

Hole 13 is a tightly wooded dogleg right. The pin is hidden in a long line of trees on the left. For extra fun the entire right side rough consists of a 75' deep ravine. This hole is no joke.

Correct (Puckstopper): that stretch is no joke. The long tees are brutal in the woods there, and we played in rain for four hours this morning. As we AMs struggled over on the west side, somebody checked their smart phone. None of us could believe what Paul was doing on the first nine holes over there under those conditions. My hats off to him, big time.

I only played 16 good holes myself to start Saturday morning, then fell completely apart. The wind picked up throughout the day Saturday, and today's rain got pretty nasty at times. That, and I really stunk up the place with my catastrophic play. :(

But once again: I have a whole new level of respect for the touring pros. Nice of 'em to stop in, all the way from Krypton!

Congratulations to Paul McBeth on another tournament win! He is the best around. It will be fun to watch his legacy grow and hopefully he keeps coming back to my home course for the Memorial!

I'm surprised Doss didn't do better. And Koling disappeared. Uli had a great third round, but it was too late.

Conragts on another win, Paul.

Worst conditions I have ever played in.....wow! About two hours straight of torrential downpours. Thanks to all the spotters and volunteers for sticking it out. I am mentally and physically exhausted, :)

BHMO. The only NT that doesn't keep the scores updated. Just like 2012 when I emailed the TD about updating the scores and he replied with a lame answer.

Shout out to local Tyler Horne for climbing back from the second card this morning to make the final nine and tie Uli for second Seems like only yesterday he was tooling around Big Run with an XL and a Rattler! Big thanks to Paul Jay, Cory Clark & all the volunteers for a job well done , as usual. I would also like to mention that the whole Jenkins clan, Sharon,Leroy, Avery & Valarie were inducted into the Ohio DG Hall of Fame. Finer folks you will not meet.
