Always ink your discs?

i started to not ink my discs until they've made the 'cut' into my bag, now that i've started trading, i'm trying to only ink the ones i carry with me everyday, most of mine that sit at home are uninked.. luckily i haven't lost an uninked one yet... but i have lost a few inked and never heard back...

Always. In HUGE letters with a ton of info (universally-known nickname, 800 #, email, PDGA #). If one is ever found, I want to make it as easy a possible for the finder to return it.

I normally putt my name, phone number, and pdga # on all my disc. I'm not really sure why I have yet to get a lost disc back but I guess there is always hope.

However for my putters I normally just put my initials on them. I don't like driving with putters so if I lose one on a putt or an upshot, I deserve to loose it.

I used to put my name and phone number on every disc that I bought. Now it only gets inked if it goes in the bag.

well that goes without saying? i only ink what i am throwing..why ink a brand new disc that will be sold or traded? sorry to hear that most of you don't get your discs back. things aren't usually too bad here in NY, but i had a kid call me once and tell me my disc flew great, then hung up!! soo...no more putting my phone number, just initials and pdga number(this seems to get them back most of the time)

I ink all of my discs (in the bag) with first name and a fone#.....

I do so for the fact that I hope if I lose one I might just get it returned to me. If not.... someone out there is enjoying one of my discs.... We both WIN!

I found writing "Reward If Returned" on discs you really like increase the chances of getting it back by a lot. Paying someone $5-$10 is well worth it to get a disc back that you know you can throw is well worth it in my opinion. I write my name, phone number (Reward If Returned), Pdga# on all of my bagged discs. I rarely lose discs but its worth it just in case you lose a prized disc. Although, i did lose the only disc i have ever gotten an ace with (172 Dyed Pro Wraith) and had some teenagers call me from a restricted number bragging about finding it. I offered them $15 for it and they told me to meet them at the course but they never showed up.

i always put my name and phone number on my discs, i do it the minute i buy them just out of habit, if you ever want to get rid of them you can just use a little acetone and the writing is good as gone

ive tried acetone on over 30 discs this summer, atleast 1 of every type of innova and discraft plastic, ive only had sharpie come off of 1 disc, 1 time, a star destroyer...so i dont ink discs unless there 4 shure a keeper

I always ink mine as well, once I'm sure I'm going to keep them. I also subscribe to 80played's theory of "Even if you aren't likely to get them back with it, you sure ain't getting them back without it".

I lost a dyed disc that I thought I would never see again because of the remote area I lost it in. I got a call two weeks later from a guy that lost his disc in the same place and found mine while looking for his. I was shocked to get it back, but was very happy. That disc has been retired and now hangs on my wall.

Once I take a disc to the course I usually put last name and phone number small in the rim. I usually find 30+ disc per year and return 10+ if the info is there.

I ink everything that goes in the bag and heres why: I was in Michigan for a disc golf vacation and left a disc on the first course first day. Before I came back I had received a call from the person who found it and I met up with him and got the disc back while still on vacation. Michigan discers are good people.

thanks! As stupid as it sounds, I'll make a greater effort to return out of state discs in hopes to establish a good rep for Michigan discers. I normally ink all in my bag but of course when I'm testing out a non numbered disc is when I lose one.

lol when I went to Wyoming a couple years ago I was throwing on this hole that had a very nice drop, and a chance at hitting some gondolas :), and I couldn't remember how many I had thrown. If course as it turns out I had left one and got a call for it about 6 months later while I was back in NC. I was impressed that someone called to try and send it back my way. I let them keep it because I didn't take any of my good disc on the trip for that very reason.

I don't anyone should ink their discs, that way I get more new discs without paying for them. lol

All the discs in my bag have my ink on them.

I ink mine when they go into play in the bag, others kept clean for practice and maybe trade. hate when I trade and have to balck out others name. I have lost fice discs this summer and have gotten a call on all of them. thanks to all those who have returned them. I returned two yesterday and several other other the years. only way I can't is if they have no name or number of have like 6 names. no offense but ill call one especially if it is nice plastic. ink on inside of rim is best IMO.
