[Gateway] Gateway Wizard

I use a DGA Breaker for my OS compliment to the Wiz

I completely forgot about the Breaker-- I'll have to try it again. It's been almost 10 years since I've thrown one, but I remember liking it. I wish the scale was 10% more overstable since it's a similar hand feel, but oh well.

I mean the Stego is out there, but "just a tick more OS than a Scale" in a putter I don't think is a thing. I can't think of anything, really. Maybe powered down on a faster putter/mid tweeter like a Zone or a Harp in certain situations might fade harder? I'm not sure about that.

That's what I thought, but was hoping someone would prove me wrong  but I'm thinking I'll try to work my angles more with the Scale. It just compliments wizards so well

What plastic is your Scale? The original Fossil scales were a little more overstable than a fresh Wizard and they held it for a while. I got a Fossil Fuel later and it's super duper flat and hard, and way more overstable. I also have an Armor and it's ridiculously overstable. It just dives left.

Premium plastic Scale is the way to go...

I didn't know they were made in premium plastic! I have a fossil and an orgo (I love the way they fly), but would be interested in trying an armor.

Has anyone found a good overstable compliment to the Wizard? I'm throwing a Scale right now which is great, but am curious about something a tick more os. Just wondering if there's something other than just a Zone or Harp or "insert generic overstable p&a"

The Chief OS is definitely more overstable than the Wizard but isn't Zone/Harp overstable. One of Gateways most overlooked discs in my opinion.

I've been having a harder time finding them for some reason, but I'll definitely consider it! Between the Chief OS, the Scale, and the Breaker, which would be the best compliment?

Both can compliment a Wizard, but in different ways.

If you want to match the speed of a Wizard with a stronger fade, then you'll want a Scale.

If you want an approach disc that's a little faster than a Wizard, but not super overstable, then you might like the Chief OS. The Chief OS is faster, feels and flies closer to a mid than a Scale.

Anyone here put with pure whites? Seems like they take forever to break in (expected it to have a little more give after a few weeks)

I don't know if pure white breaks in like that.
I have pw Wizards & Magics that have been in my bag for 2+ years. Lots of damage but I don't notice a change in flex.

PW is good enough I'm no longer willing to overpay for old G9i's. Not that don't still have a healthy stack of g9i backups, but I find myself choosing to bag PW more and more. Especially in the winter, and for my driving putter.

I have a couple G9i's left and I prefer the PW. And the old fossil/firm plastic was great too. I just wish I could get PW wizards that were blank. Blank white putters are the only way putters should be.
