I used to throw hammers and snap forehand rollers and other such things with abandon. I'm far too stiff and find many of them painful these days. Throwing after age 55 is a major change.
A check of disc stats shows that none of the MVP/Axiom discs with similar flight characteristics have a rim depth that shallow. They all run 1.5 cm to XD's 1.1 cm.
My first golf disc ages ago was an XD. Of the MVP putters I use, I reckon the Atom is akin to a shorter XD, the Ohm is a bit...
I started playing with a 163g Frisbee, as there was no place local to buy discs. I bought my first disc on the course from an out-of-town player who had one he'd sell me--a quite used Innova XD. Didn't get a bag for some time after that, after accumulating a few more discs.

My hometown is just up the road from Ottumwa (Oskaloosa) and I believe Kramer was one of the guys involved in getting our course in. Played rounds with him on occasion and he was always a joy to play with.
I'm patiently waiting for the chance to grab one. It's going straight up against my Wombat3 for US mid in my bag. I've also a Paradox to see how the two compare.
