Signed up both me and my daughter. Here's to hoping I can get some assistance with transportation. Otherwise, I will have to pull out and caddy for my daughter.

Hollow in the Hills expanded to 27 holes

Howie is working this winter cutting our new fairways on the property to create additional holes. He had 5 extra holes created for the fall PDGA event, and is now working to complete the course to 27 holes.

We are using the 27 hole course in The 2015 Amateur Championship at Bowling Green!

Recreational Men Division wait list open

The wait list for recreational men's division is open.

If you want to be sure to play this year sign up in intermediate - I am sure there will be dozens of "rec" players in the division, and you will be grouped by rating for the first round and by score for each following round - so the competitive rounds will be there for all players.

You may sign up for intermediate, and also get on the wait list ($5 non-refundable). If you do that, put "REC" as your middle name (ie: John REC Doe) and as openings come up I will move you and delete your name from the wait list.

Only if you choose to drop out of the tournament (can't make it for whatever reason) and opt for a players pack after March 24th. Prior to that you can get a full refund of $$, otherwise you're expected to show up (participate) and receive your players pack. - would be my understanding, not known for fact

2007 was my 2nd year attending and it was nuts!

Additionally, a side note. Scores to make final 72 (it was like 64 in Rochester) needed to average 958 almost 10 pts higher than any other years. 931 would have got you top 72 in Rochester. So biggest Am event yet, plus hardest competition.

They'll be more spots for MM1, MG1 and MS1 at the upcoming Am Worlds in Kalamazoo but you may need to play more than four different courses.

I thought the DGA Torrent was in the pack last year. I'm probably thinking of another event.

Torrent was in the Worlds Pack this year and the BG Ams had the Hurricane.

Quick question for HB...
I know that REC if full but it looks like a few may have to get bumped to INT because of ratings (or after subsequent ratings updates).... What if INT is full at that point?

Yea I was wondering the same thing earlier. I imagine it probably wont be an issue cause there will be several people in int on the waiting list for rec. Then they would just get swapped.

answers - - - players pack is only mailed if you drop out late - not for any one else.

I left room in each pool for "ratings issues" - I can get 90 in each pool and set the limits at 85 for that reason.

So, some of the rec players that are low 900 now have told me they think when they play their second ever event it will likely drop . . . and some rec players will likely rise by then as well.

I will not likely make any moves from the wait list until late January at best, maybe even late Feb after I see those ratings come out. All adds will come from the wait list from the top (but by division as more fill up) to be fair to all players wanting to get in or move down.

If you want to change from where you are now to another division that is not full - I will be happy to edit your info and move you (like rec to GM or such).

Any woman can move to any other womens division as they are in the same pool (yes, I really did think the pool I thing out in detail - - - this also helps with the small divisions as I am requiring three ladies in a division (like womens sgm, womens gm) else I will move them down to womens masters.
