Is it a supporting point if the surface underneath cannot support you?

if you look at 803.01 B: 1."A player may move casual obstacles that are on the playing surface where a supporting point may be placed when taking a stance. A casual obstacle is any item or collection of loose debris (such as stones, leaves, twigs, or unconnected branches)"If the disc landed on a pile of debris (stack of twigs, or leaf pile), would it be legal to clear the pile such that you could stand on the dirt surface beneath?
i only watched the final round(jomez), and it was kind of entertaining to see the crowd jump around (shocking no-one got hit); if one of them had been struck there is the possibility of injury and the outcome of the lie would have changed (quite drastically if it kicked in/out of bounds, which could have happened a few times). spectator placement should be addressed in the future.Looking at the Jomez video and it feels like the crowd had to jump/duck for discs on every hole. .

Anyone else see the Gannon Buhr "play from a spectator's bag" throw?

Apparently the ruling was that he *could* play from behind the bag if he wanted to (and chose not to), but I'm confused why moving the bag wasn't the correct answer to this one.. anyone happen to know?
Also, I've never seen these top tier players wander around and huck from the woods as much, which was kinda comforting.
That's Toboggan. Easy to end up way off the fairway because the elevation gives errant downhill shots more time to fly. Even more so when the wind picks up or changes up on you.
Uphill or sideways slopes and berms affect your footwork/timing/release point, also making it easier to shank one into deep rough.
Granted, these players are the best, so they usually compensate pretty well. But when they don't, things can get very bad.
With the rapid increase of spectators maybe Rule 803 would benefit from a Rules Committee review ( krupica?). Relief from spectators & their belongings should be a no brainer. Moving unattended spectator items from a lie? Sure.

Seems like a good idea. Maybe something in the competition manual would make the most sense?

Day 2 Johnny Disc Golf followed the card I was scoring for a bit. He said Toboggan was the tied with Jonesboro for the most elevation change of any course on tour. Toboggan gets the W for most hole-to-hole change, while Jonesboro is more like 3 holes in a row straight uphill.
