Making trip to Chicago next week to bang my head till it hurts (MASTODON,GOJIRA!!!!!) Hoping to bang some chains before, but reviews not looking too promising. Any input from discers in area? Coming from Kalamazoo MI.

Short answer: largely depends on where the show is. Also how much time you have.
You could always hit up Rogers Lakewood and/or Lemon Lake in IN on your way thru.
The Joliet area is a solid option.
Other than that...yuuuuup.

even as lucky as we are in this area( # of courses) I play em all often to feed my addiction:clap: Robert Morris and Oshtemo my faves. Meyer Broadway 40 min south and has 2 sweet courses... would be fave if little closer

If you play Oshtemo from the longs and like it, go play Highland in Joliet.
That's close enough to West Park, Community Park in Channahon, Trinity, KLM, Round Barn...those are all decent enough. I hear the new 50 Acres is supposed to be alright as well but don't know details.

If ya don't wanna drive far klm or central park are good.
