most people i play with throw farther than i can, but if its a wide open course i would have to say they throw 365-425, but id still consider that 350-400

Tough poll. One person throws about 280'-300' and the other is 230'-250', and I usually always play with the same two. Now what? :)

i guess i shoulda made it where you could choose two....lol....i guess just average yours in with it...heck i dunno....i play with a wide assortment of people and i just chose the majority

This poll needs a better phrased question... it's got too many variables.

It's a common misconception that EVERYBODY drives farther than you do. It my case it's almost everybody. I can still outdrive the guy with the cane that rides the scooter around the course.

At least you are out driving someone. How does he work the cane into the X-step?

tricky part of the poll is that I play with people of all skill levels. from folks who can launch it ~500' (clearly in the "stop kidding yourself" category) to women who are new to the sport who hit 200' on a good rip (in the 150-200' category), and people all in between.

I went with the 350-400' category, because that is probably most of the people I play with -- or at least the average distance when you factor in (or exclude) all the outliers...

but then, the poll doesn't specify practice-field D vs. golf D... and I'd say those are slightly different ranges.

I agree 1000%. Its alot easier to go out to a field and throw for D but can you do it when it matters on a course, where there are little things called fairways and ceilings? Case and point, I got a new 164 star Wraith last week and me and a couple of guys were throwing it out in he open. My furthest throw(lasered) and my longest throw ever was 552. Now there is nowhere on our local course you can do that (except long 16, but still trees in the way) in a round because there are no open "field" shots. Then you think of courses around here and there aren't a whole lot of holes that you can throw those just "D" shots.
Now if you want to talk true distance go find some good fairways and see how far you can throw on a regular basis and still land it in the fairway and not "spray" it all over the place. Throwing far is fun but throwing 400 accurate is alot more fun when everyone else throws there stuff in the woods and you get to watch 2 or 3 shots before you take your second!!:D

at first everyone beat me but now im pretty much caught up with everyone except for the few that are obviously taking illegal drugs to up their game. :)

Yeah, but the guy with the cane still putts better than me, so I still lose. :(

Do I vote based on people I play with casually or in tournaments? Do I vote based on their longer throws, or their average? This was a tough poll for me to vote on.

I can out drive most of my friends, because they don't play as much as I do. I have played with Springdglover and he and I throw almost exactly with in 10ft or so. I have also played with Eric a few times, and he makes throws that don't seem humanly possiable at times. He has an arm like a cannon.

Thanks... But I'm really not that good. 350' is within reach pretty easily right now... and on a really good rip I can get out over 400'.

Put me at Community Park and I'll play 935 golf, or on The LINKS and I'll shot around 950... but force me up to Spring Valley and you'll see some 860-870 golf outta me. I'm just not consistent enough yet on heavily wooded courses... and my putting is not very good.

I try to play with new people all the time and if I can play with someone hukin discs well over 300 I absolutely will. But most of the time if I play with friends its the ones I started playing with and I usually out drive them in the low 200s
