The groove: a beginner magnet. I bought one when I first started, anyone else?

This is an insult to the groove, not the guy. Just so you guys know.

I remember being a newb and thinking, wow, a tie-die groove, that sounds so cool. And, I can't throw my boss and this disc is better for beginners so it will be perfect. Gotta "Get into the Groove" as Innova said. I gave it away about 6 months later to another newb on the course.

Had a noob ask me for help with his drive last week and the clinic we held......... so I asked to see him throw and he pulls a Champ Groove outta his bag. :doh:

Needless to say we sold him a Valkyrie and probably improved his game tenfold.

I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt on that. He may be trying to reach new players considering the Groove as their next purchase. It does have seductive flight numbers and is clearly marketed for beginners ...
