Not sure I can map the definitions to discs, but have tried Berg's and Pigs, but settled on the RPM Kea in atomic plastic (bit like tacky Innova star). Flops down like an omelette, great against the wind, and can even putt with it. Messing with a soft Proxy for straighter approaches.

Oops, missclicked. My lid-vote should be a brick (anyway to change it?). For approaches I seldom use anything but my K3 Berg, even from tee up to around 165 ft. It almost never let me down and it more or less always just park where it lands. love it!

I just take a Brick of a Zone and aim in front and to the right of the basket. Baby skips up to within 10 feet everytime. However I have used regular putters and even a Plastic Addicts Habbit depending on how tight the approach is and the shape of it.

I'd say brick 80%, putter 10%, lid 10%.

What I've learned so far. If it's windy. My Rhyno is going to be heavily used.
Outside of that. It depends on what's required from the throw. What my stance has to be, and what's in the way. i.e. what shot shape is it really?

idk bruh

you need to refine your taste

big difference even in wiz vs aviar

and ion is in the middle of those 3

Huh? Everyone I know who throws Wizards could pick up a KC Aviar and not miss a beat. Wizard, KC Aviar, Westside Crown, the list goes on...every manufacturer has a stable, beaded putter, and they are all very similar IMO

Aviars float a lot more than Wizards. As a long time Wizard putter, I notice it even on 10' putts. Aviars just float over the top of the chains when a Wizard will hit the heart. Not saying that adjustments can't be made, but they're hardly clones.

Putter is my main choice.

I've played lots of one-disc condor rounds, not sure if that constitute a "lid" or not, but if it does, it's pretty solid in that role (and just an all-around great disc to throw for all shots, if going 1-disc).

I voted "other" because I use a Champ Polecat. While the Polecat most fits the "lid" category, the Champ ones do not fly like lids, they fly like bricks with zero fade. So a lid packed with bricks??

Nuanced answer for me, but given the options 'brick' is probably the best choice.

Berg is my preferred approach disc. It is slow like a lid but glideless like a brick, so for me it is the best of both worlds for most approach shots. I do also have a Zone or two in the bag at all times, plus my arsenal of Judges. If I need skip or fade I go Zone, if I need glide or a panning anny I go Judge. But if the shot allows for it I am Berg all day.

I was trying to figure out how to define an Envy, I figured putter but it does have a pretty solid stability but it's definitely not a brick

Would be nice if the definition of each was with the 'type'. One person's putter might be another person's brick or lid or pie pan.

Haha yeah, it seems like there might not be a clear definition of each. Not sure how to define it in a poll. In my mind a lid is a floaty, glidey disc similar to an ultimate disc. Maybe the putter version of a comet. Brick is something glideless so it's easy to range and tolerates wind. Putter is somewhere on either end that spectrum. Maybe we can talk about pros and their preferences. I'd say most pros just throw a putter except

Lids - Gurthie with his Sonic
Bricks - Calvin and his champ Rhyno - Ricky with the harp/pig

Who else?
