Hole #8

Par 3 189ft

Seems to be a very narrow wooded fairway with a late turn to the right.

I'm going with either an ESP Meteor or DX XD RHBH (since I have no forehand to speak of).

I'll save Fank some time, he's going with a Comet...

DX Aviar to get some right turn RHBH. That is, if I miss the branch that's right in front of the camera on picture #1.

I would throw my Leopard (rhbh) with a tiny bit of anny on it. A shot that I have been working on and been having good success with. Don't have to try to throw a putter or my buzzz hard, just a nice easy throw. Hit that gap and possibly have a birdie attempt.

This hole is just begging for a tomahawk, especially with the way that boulder is guarding the approach. And the trees are opened up, welcoming you to "throw it here." A thumber might also work, but I'd prefer my landing to be playing right to left, not left to right, with the dropoff just to the right of the basket.

Pretty hole. :)

I'm throwing a BuZzz on a really low fast line, it'll skip while headed to the right, if I'm not behind that rock I'll be to the right of it or just past it if it skips before turning.

I will pull out an OH when I need to but I dont like the overhead clearance in the pic.

I think Im going Ion with a slight anny, slight enough that once it gets around that rock it will come back. Its only 189'. If I hit that rock I still got a birdie possibility and with the putter at that short of distance, Im pretty confident in threading the needle.

Low anny with a Voodoo. Hard to tell what other gaps there may be.

When I drive with my Voodoo it doesn't come back after the turn. I'd be afraid of being down the slope on the right. Did you check that last photo? It scared me out of the putter/Roc/Buzzz option.

Also @ Technohic, you don't really need much clearance for an OH at that distance. It actually looks like a good height to make sure you get the turn back and "hump over" that will plant a tomahawk left of the basket if you clear the rock.

Does this hole make anybody else want to go backpacking? It looks just like the scenery along the Southern Appalachian Trail.

My instincts were right: this course is IN the Pisgah National Forest! Sweetness! :D

I would throw my star destroyer as hard as I can hitting the tree on the right. From there I would start cussing and claim a mulligan. Then gram my Banger GT and throw it all the way down there.

LOL - Now there's a plan!

Ahhhhh.... Sugaree

You guys have no idea how awesome this course is. I don't specifically remember what I threw on this hole when I played it, but I'm pretty sure it was my Wizard, although it may have been my beat in Warrior.

It's cool to see a "Hole of the Day" that I've actually played, and such an awesome course.

Champ cobra turnover or maybe a forehand roller
