Grip EQ large bag

The thing that I am wondering ( I haven't heard back from J@ yet) is weather this next run of bags will have the problems fixed. I read the dgr forum about this bag and a lot of people seem to have stitching issues. The putter pocket and water bottle pocket (tightness) problems come to mind as well. I am fine waiting for the next run if the problems that have surfaced will be fixed.

I saw the bag at USDGC and I liked it. I'm not one to chase trends and I usually don't buy products that are new and untested by the masses (something I learned owning a recording studio and buying software).

Anyone have any info on this? How has he handled the problems from those of you who own the bags so far?

PS anyone want to pre order my GB bag and Quads?

the water bottle tightness wasnt ever a problem. i filled 2 32oz nalgenes with hot water and left them in the holders for a day or 2 and afterwords they loosened up but not to the point of them having room to flop around. easy to take out and put back in now. problem solved

This could happen with any new bag..just needs to break in a bit.

I DO want to know why! Please share. Btw, I've had my Mahal for 7 months now and it is incredible. Got to see the GRIP bag at World's this past summer and I was not impressed at all. For anyone who has actually seen both bags side by side AND PUT BOTH BAGS on their shoulders, there is no way that they could honestly say the GRIP bag even remotely compares to the Mahal. For $50 more bucks you get a bag that has already been through a couple productions and is made by LEGIT backpack people!

I have worn both bags. The Mahal looks like I have a box on my back. I simply don't need a backpack that big. Also, it's $90 more than the bag I just purchased. The Mahal rides nice, but $90 better? Not for me.

Just played my first round with my new Grip bag. Busy working all week after getting it on Monday and left for the course with today with the bag carefully filled with my favorite discs.

First off, I really like the way this bag rides and it holds a perfect number of discs for me. Overall, I love the bag.

But on hole 9, one of the pockets really easily ripped away from its seam. I was removing a putter from that pouch. Was that not intended for discs? Ive seen photos that have discs in that pouch.

I contacted J@ by email and hope this can be repaired. I hope I don't have to spend $20 to fix it after giving $170 for it in September.

Ive had a Mako in there since I got it with no issues and Im pretty sure thats alot wider then a putter. He'll make it right, because I had an issue wit my bag too

My Revolution bags were super comfy as long as I was not carrying water. However with the grip bag I am very comfortable carrying 17 discs and a nalgene of water. Also with the Revo bag if I only carried one nalgene of water that side would be heavy and the other would not. The Grip bag does a better job of distributing the weight as I can not tell which side the water is on.

So far I am a fan, I love being able to have the extra discs to choose from as I was not willing to carry that many with any of my revo bags.

Only time will tell if the bag will hold up like a revo bag.

I like having my two buzzz's in the top pocked and a putter in the lower flap.

Are the bags everything you'd hope they'd be?

I've used mine for 4 (tournament) rounds, and the verdict (for me) is still out. I love how comfortable it is and the space for your chair is great.

It has space for storage, but not like my Carolina. If you are wearing a hoodie you can't put it in the side pocket if it gets too hot.

I still think the bag is worth the $, and these are just some observaitons I've had.

I bought a Grip yesterday and got it today. I'll probably carry it tomorrow when I beat up on Biscoe and tell him how good it feels on my back.

My money is on Biscoe. You'll be thinking how cool you look with your new bag, and shank shots all day. Sucks for you.

I'm all about being environmental, but I believe ultimately that polyester is not going to do it.....Revo uses codura, It was supposed to be Nylon....and the whole bag isn't double stitched...

I'm sure I'll get made fun of on here for saying this but its completely true....I sold my grip and bought a Nutsac....

That sewn in piece under the word grip needs to definitely be rounded on the edges or an oval....theres no way to take it out and really no good place to cut the fabric with a razor to fix it and then re-sew it....

I just wanted to post on here that I spoke with justin about my bag and I couldnt be happier with his responses and the overall way he is handling business.

Its natural that this first run would have some minor hitches, but you can confidently buy one of these and know that anything defective will be made right and justin will honor his gaurantee...

Justin was really awesome to meet in person, he has a good thing going, and as long as progression is in his eyes, Grip Eq. will be a force to be known within the disc golf community.

Does anybody know or have they tried to fit the Innova soft frame in the Grip bag? I ask, because it fit into my Lat. 64 bag and offered some extra stability.
Too bad I missed the 1st pre-order, but I'm on the 2nd one and I don't care how like it takes. Well, sort of...I want a bag!

Thanks!!
