Catrina Allen Prediction Thread

People who impose tremendous expectations upon themselves and who grew up in a family environment in which even the slightest failure is met with scorn, and achievements are not celebrated, often feel great personal shame at doing less than perfectly out of all proportion to the expectations of the people around them, and will flee from attention as soon as possible after a failure.

Uh, so I have heard. . .

=\

edit: Just to be clear, I don't know the first thing about her life. I'm just saying I recognize the symptoms. From hard experience.

Top athletes in all sports have grown up in all kinds of environments leaving them with all kinds of different complexes.

The champs learn to deal with it, work through it, and even use it as fuel. This isn't negative toward Cat as a person, but if any of what you say is remotely true she needs to find a way through it to win.

oint being,change it up Cat):

Don't agree. Her putting is fine from further out. It's mainly an issue from 15ft in. I think she has a bit of performance anxiety on those shorter putts. Here's where she could benefit from a caddy/friend saying "take a deep breath, you got this", etc.

I get it and agree with what you're saying but as the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Break those bad mental thoughts, no matter how you do it... take a deep breath or whatever. I think a physical change could help like it does Nate is just one suggestion.

She broke...

hearing Paige on Smashboxx i feel that the Paige vs Cat thing is bigger than i though. . . After Terry asked about Cat, Paige became really bothered.

So Cat have not said "Congratulations" to Paige all year. . thats just odd

I still think Cat's personal life is affecting her pro life. But let's also keep in mind last year's fpo winner (and team mate) did not congratulate Paige either. I also think the two are fierce competitors on the course and yet.... they still make time to do things like the following video (published a few months ago). I'm guessing Cat would not do this if there was anything more personal going on.

Gotta put that bag down when putting. Even better idea would be to use a cart.

I think she's too mechanical about her putting and not allowing her natural grace and athleticism. That's why the disc is coming out heavy nose down and erratic.

Just have fun and putt aggressive using your natural athletic movements, fire at the pole and let the pieces fall where they may.

And don't forget to enjoy yourself and have fun

On camera. Didn't congratulate her on camera. Just because we didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I have a very very very hard time believing there's anything but love between the two Paiges, and that they surely had their moments away from the course for congratulations and high fives.

As far as Paige and Cat, let's not forget that that Nice Line episode came together before the whole courtesy warning vs courtesy warning spat at GBO. Things could have changed since then.

Not speculation. On the recent Smashboxx broadcast she said PB did not congratulate her.
