New Course Design Do's and Don'ts

Do's: A 1 1/2 pvc pipe fits perfectly into a sleeve)

I've heard the inside diameter varies by brand. The difference is whether the brand quotes its pole's diameter based on the inside or the outside diameter (pipe or tube), and my club knows from experience that Innova poles and DGA poles are different. Ultimately it may not matter much, as long as you don't mix and match baskets and poles between brands.

Thanks to all of the responses. To answer some questions,#1 this is will not be my first, and hopefully not my last design.I've been playing since 1977 and have designed or assisted in designing since that time.#2 the course has yet to be approved.I will be attending the park board meeting later this month with my proposal.Since the course will require the park to complete it's trail system and in particular, several bridges acroos the creek that bisects the property I do not envision course completion for at least 2 years.

Try to avoid water hazards that require scuba gear and a shark cage to retrieve a disc from.

I don't have aquaphobia. I've swam in the Bonnet Carré Spillway and surf fished in the Gulf of Mexico, but that doesn't mean I want to free dive in the impenetrable murk of a snake filled cesspool drowning machine when I'm playing disc golf.

Adding some real risk to the risk/reward of daring water plays is fine, but discs cost money. If I wanted to play a game of risking and losing money, I'd go to a casino.

In conclusion,

Water on the course, okay. It can be aesthetically pleasing.
Water hazards in play, okay.
Water hazards in play where I may have to get my feet wet, okay.
Water hazards in play where there's better than a 50% chance of going in and I may get cryptosporidiosis or have my butt envenomated by a ball of water moccasins while trying to get my disc back, not okay.

I know some dude's that'd pay good loot to have their butts envenomated by a ball of water moccasins.
