I have some exciting news. I have been working with the park departments for Bailey (Cornelius, NC) and Bradford (Huntersville, NC) and they would like to add Disc Golf to their summer youth camp programs.

Currently we would plan 2 weeks one at Bailey and one at Bradford for children 8 to 14. There is a fee and the CDGC would get some of that money.

The events would run for 1 week 8:30 to 12PM and would follow some sort of lesson plan created by me and the instructor.
Probably 30-45 minutes of instruction and practice and the rest some sort of competitive playing.
The actual work would be 15 hrs per week (9-12) and would pay at least $125 - $150 for the week ($10/hr). (PLAYING AND TEACHING DISC GOLF!!!)

I need names for people that have a tentitvely free summer that would like to make $250 - $300 in 2 weeks teaching and playing disc golf. I do not have the dates yet, but will soon.
I am thinking, 2 weeks in June or August, it depends on some other camps.

The leader has to be at least 18 years old and helpers 16. They have to pass a background check (for registered offenders). I would need an instructor for every 8 children and I would like to offer the program to 48 children per week, so, I need 6 (people who are interested). Please post below or PM me with your Name, Phone number, and Email address so I can make a list of those who are interested.

I will put the full set of information up so that even people who have children will know how to register their children. There are still details yet to be worked on.

The only problem is that you will have to pay out all aces that you witness...might eat up your whole pay. Oh and passing the registered offender back ground check.

Im moving down to the Rock hill area soon, So this would be sweet

Can we show the Expert village video to the kids?

I can do what ever I want to teach disc golf and keep children entertained for 3 hrs. Well, I won't be there, but the instructors can. I hope this is a success, if so, maybe we might be talking about 4-6 weeks of camps next year. $900 teaching disc golf... I would be jealous of my own event.

Hey now, that's not funny... that 12 year old was the one hitting on ME.:\

Oh, and I would pay out the aces in merch bux.:|

Why on earth would you pay out aces to kids? . . . Thats like teaching them that a casino is a good place to study gambling and math are interconnected. Bad idea if you ask me . .. and why would you force the teacher to pay them out?

See Mark? My homeboy Mike from Wisconsin has got my back...:hfive:

Your homeboy from Wisconsin doesnt understand a joke...either that or I don't understand sarcasm...either way. We KNOW that Aric doesnt pay out aces... so it is mute regardless. Don't worry, side action will be age appropriate...pokemon cards for 8-10, cigs for 11-14.

Heh, its a youth camp for learning disc golf, and will be treated as such, with age appropriate games, competition, practice, training, and rewards (depending on what the CDGC wants to donate.)

Where are you getting this idea from? Are you talking about when atl scott missed the mando at Reedy Creek? Check out my sig! I'll pay out an ace when it's an ACE not a saved par. But not to derail the thread though....

I might be your man, brah. Bradford is my home course (when not playing at uncle Daves of course ;)) and Bailey aint exactly a long haul either. You might try getting in touch with BraveThrower43 though (on here and CDGC). He has done kiddie camp stuff in the past and he is usually home from school during the summer. Also: Schleppy might be interested!

I had no idea it was a joke . . . I thought i was an adendum to your first post not a rip on Aric.

I'll play a round with Aric and if he gets an ace I will pay him.

I will talk with them both at Glow tonight. See you there at 6:30. As long as enough people are interested, hijack away.

There are only 2 mando holes at Bailey...Make sure you point them out to Scott.

Ha! Sorry, then. I will not be paying out or even teaching the practice to children. The learning plan will be skill, etiquette, and rules based with 30-45 minutes of teaching and 2+hrs to play and have fun with gentile teaching on the fly.

Yeah, I cant believe you put those mandos in at Bailey.... did Stan talk you into that?

Heh, the holes are 100' with out them, 200 and 148 ( see more 4's on both than 2's) with them.
