Where are you going in 2024?

I do live in Huntsville, but I am leaving for Mobile in about 3 hours, for work. I do get back Thursday Night and will be around all weekend. I'd be down to throw. FYI, Rocket City Blast is going on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Some courses wont be playable at certain times. John Hunt is booked fri sat sun, Mastin is booked fri sat sun, Tom Monroe aka Brahan is booked fri sat sun, Sharon Johnston is booked sat sun, new hope is booked fri sat, southside is booked fri, Uah is booked sun. Redstone is open, but requires a background check at gate 9. Sano costs $5. My favorites in no order are Mastin, Sano, Sharon, Redstone and Indian. I dont rate my own course, plus it is closed for the summer, not that i wouldn't show you parts of it.
Thanks, I'm aware of Rocket City Blast going on. I'm playing the event with some friends from work who wanted to travel to an A tier we hadn't played before. Only playing one round a day in the event leaves me plenty of time to hit up other courses and I'm staying over into Monday to hit the courses used for the event that I can't play during it (or miss out on tomorrow). Will certainly reach out and try and get in some throws together while I'm in town. I figured Redstone required something along those lines, no issues there. And $5 for Sano seems like a bargain based on the reviews of it.

Thanks! Any updates you can post about the possible new course will be greatly appreciated!

Lots of courses I need to play south of Fredericksburg, including Waller Mill. :)
Waller and New Quarter are only a few minutes apart and would make you a great day trip. New Quarter is very good with a lot of variety and Waller may be the best fully wooded course in VA imo.

Absolutely, I look forward to playing both. Probably visit a friend in Portsmouth on the same trip so lots of short courses to bag around there, too.

I havent been up to Sano, in awhile. Sometimes by late May, Sano is looking shaggy. Mastin is a fully maintained woods course however.

Thanks, one of my buddies is already in town and he's scoping out the conditions of some of the local tracks and letting me know so we can plan a play schedule accordingly. Unfortunately I'm the one stuck behind to hold everything down at work while everyone else is either already there or driving there currently. lol He said Mastin, Brahan, and New Hope look great so far (walked them and tossed a few holes he found interesting) and he's headed to Sharon currently so I'll let him know to stop by Sano on his way back to his hotel.

I sent you a pm with my contact. I got back into town late last night. Im available to throw at around 3pm.

I just booked my flight to Halifax Canada for late July. I most certainly will hit at least one course in Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick. Hillcrest is the number 1 destination must hit, and is among my top 5 bucket list courses.

Nice, I would love to do that trip in the not-too-distant future.

Have a great time!

I'm excited to hear about your travels and read your reviews! I was looking at a similar trip centered around Hillcrest for this summer, but I think I may have to push it out to 2025.

The wife and I are heading over toward the Eau Claire WI area tomorrow to bag a couple, maybe three new ones and hitting up Wild Apple again while we're at it. Ones at a golf course which is gross, but I won't have to look at it ever again at least. I'll also be playing/checking out a course that was installed one year from now per Udisc. 🍿

My partner and I will be headed up to Iceland for 2 weeks in September! We jam-packed our itinerary with sightseeing, but I'm expecting to at least notch 3 or 4 courses while I'm there. Unless I go somewhere else before that (which is still a possibility), these will be my first courses played outside of the US.

let us know how the scenic right to lefts and lefts to rights are

Heading back to PA for a week at the end of the month. Here's the must hit list:

Nockamixon (I believe almost everything there is playable again)
AGA farms (hopefully)
Jordan Creek

I have a lot of the area already hit as I grew up there plus stop in usually once a year.

Just threw Nocky a coupla Saturdays ago. It was a blah, rainy day but I felt I had to get out and see what it looks like for the first time in seven or so years. Most of the course was ready to throw, but 3, 4, and 5 are not cleared out yet. Hole 6 is a short walk from Hole 2 basket so this wasn't a big deal. I ended up only doing the available front 9 due to the typical Nocky "fatigue" (yes, it is still there!) and mostly due to the rain coming down- my bag and pants were rather soaked. I was so glad I went. Hope to be back soon to check out the complete back 9. Pictures below. Hole 1 green has changed slightly. It is now a bit further back over a bridge on sort of an island. (Confirmed by Steve Broad when I caught up with him at a local disc golf shop.) I believe the 2nd one is Hole 2 fairway - I wanted to convey the tons of clearing out going on. They are doing an incredible job getting this course back to its former glory.

Good luck at Aga Farms. My brother bought me passes for my birthday recently and we threw it for the first time. It is a beast. Soooooo beyond my skills, but on such a beautiful piece of property and so fun to throw.

My wife and I visited those 3 Provinces last Labor Day week, was a lot of fun.

Since you are flying into Halifax, the easiest one to bag there is Dartmouth Commons, right across the river, a short, park Niner. Done pretty well. A little outside of town is Hammonds Plains, a little rough around the edges, but fun to play (except for the gravel road fairways). Actually one of the highest rated courses in NS.

PEI - of course, the must play is Hillcrest, they've got it cleaned up from a Fall 2022 storm and one of the first ones you come to after driving across the Confederation Bridge, 9 miles across the largest freezable river. (#11 is one of the prettiest holes you will ever play!) My other one was up on the north shore, Forest Hills, a golf course hybrid. Not sure about any of the others on the Island.

New Brunswick - I played Shamrock Park in Saint John, a surprisingly fun little course with several rock outcroppings, but 3-4 holes that still need a lot of work.
If you are going that far, you need to check out the Bay of Fundy, the largest tidal swing 30-40 feet a couple times a day. The Hopewell Rocks Prov Park was really cool, accessible from Moncton (a couple of courses there).

Have a great trip, we all will looking for your reviews.

Thanks for the update. We have a transplant here in south Florida who goes back and forth from Bethlehem and here quite often, and he told me 17 holes were playable. I'll message some friends up there to see if I can get someone local up there to join me for this. I haven't played Nocky in almost 10 years so this ought to kick my fat butt six ways from Sunday.

Nocky was one of my favorite courses ever. I would love to hear how the reinvention has worked out. Also curious whether the course will return from the "extinct" list or be re-listed.

Hopewell Rocks is #1 on my nature itinerary. We also plan to hit along Peggy cove and Green gables. I had read all 3 of your reviews from there, excellent as always and thank you. I do plan to hit both Dartmouth Commons and Hammonds. unsure if we will get to St Johns, New Brunswick. ill probably hit a course closer to Moncton. Huck it is on PEI and highly rated. I hope to add that one as well.

Sounds good!
We stayed on Peggy's Cove Road, so drove out to the Lighthouse about every day, great sunset from there.
Saint John just happened to be our stop on the way back to Maine, not a destination course. Moncton should scratch your NB itch!!

Oh yea, another memorable stop in Halifax, The main cemetery has about 100 graves of Titanic victims, pretty easy to find.
