Which would you Rather?

Would you rather a hole in one on a par 3 hole, or $10?

What do you think you would remember longer... the Ace or what you spent the $10 on?

Hard to say. Suppose a guy is selling $10 premium plastic out of his trunk. Suppose you take the $10 and buy a disc. Now, let's keep supposing that it becomes your favorite disc and you hit several aces with it. Would you remember that one ace or the disc that you bought and got several aces with? Since this thread is about a hypothetical scenario, I like my outcome the best.

If you're reading this, just look around you and look at your personal possessions. Think about how many of those things you could probably put up online and sell for at least $10, and not really miss having.

I'm sure we all have our price where we would trade the ace for the cash, but mine is considerably more than $10, it's probably somewhere in the low to mid three digits.

I think those of you who chose the cash at $10 would have still chosen it had the OP said $5, possibly even $2.

Do I hear $1.00???

Lots of supposition there. Since we are supposing let's suppose you took that $10 bucks and bought a nice lunch or a six pack of your favorite micro brew... would you remember that particular lunch or six pack two or three months down the road? I'm guessing probably not. Unless you are one of the gifted few who have tallied a dozen or or so Aces I'm guessing you would probably remember every detail of that Ace for months or even years. Especially if it was your first.

To look at it another way. It takes me less than an hour to make $10. I've been playing Disc Golf for three years and have yet to get an Ace.

No aces yet. I remember every detail of the closest call out of the five times I've hit the chains from the tee (and it was several weeks ago). The other four were more glancing blows, but this one was a dead solid hit that hit the pole in the middle and bounced out!
It would have to be at least three digits before I'd even consider cash instead of ace numero uno!

In 20+ years of playing I have no idea how many aces I have. It really isn't that important to me. I remember my first and each tourney ace, but not too many of the others. Heck, I've never signed a basket or tee sign and I sure haven't had anyone sign my ace disc. So, if it was a tourney then I'd probably remember. If a solo round, maybe not. I know it may be hard for some to believe, but some of us don't obsess over aces. And the short ones in a solo casual round? Forget about it.

Is there someone I can pay $10 to and then be able to throw an ace, cause I would contemplate that for a second and a half before handing over my money lol.

This is completely logical. An ace is a milestone event for a disc golfer. I still remember my first birdie. It felt so awesome to finally get a two on a hole. Do you think I care as much now? Not hardly. Same goes for guys who have stacks of aces in their memory banks.

I have no aces yet so I will take the ace.

Besides, I hate money (I'm a socialist).
