Can you shoot 'Par' on your home course?

Can you shoot "Par" on your home course?

Yes. At Bethel University, I average a +1 (since keeping track with Scorebook), but I can hit -4. This depends on pin positions and my 'bogey' holes (4, 7, 9), where I am happy with a par.

on a side note, if anyone wants a guide around Bethel if you're in the cities, I'd be happy to show you around.

I typically shoot between -3 and +3 at my home course, but if I play very conservatively (Ie only use my comet and magnet) I will almost always shoot either -1 or Par. The course has a very fair par for the difficulty level though of the six par 4s, there are two that could easily be par 3s if some of the excessive tree growth was trimmed back.

Simply put: No. I have form and accuracy issues that I've been correcting, but I'm not quite there yet.

I've come close at the Little Lehigh Parkway and at South Mountain, but not at or under. I've probably shot under par at DeSales, but I don't really keep track or play there that much any more.

Bcr123psu, I play the lehigh valley courses alot and jordan creek is the only one that im not consistently a few under par, anyway pm me if you ever wanna play a round.

I can shoot under par consistently on both of my Home courses here in Searcy, AR. But the 18 holer is a complete joke...no obstacles or challenges.

Gimme a scope and I can shoot just about anything. Is "PAR" short for People Acting Recklessly...or someones name?

I always shoot under par on my home course now... except in tourneys.. where i shoot way over..

Which one do you play more?
I would like to help.

Lately it's been South Mountain because it's short, I can play it fast early in the AM, and it's not crowded when I play. The course is 100% wooded, so if I don't hit the line off the tee, I'm looking at par or par+. Oh, and I'm currently rehabbing my elbow so I don't know how long until I can start practicing religiously again (technically, I shouldn't be playing at all).

Sure. Free time isn't too abundant any more, but if I get a day when I can get out and play I'll hit you up. The only thing I miss about my old job was being able to run out for a round every day :(

The fact that 91% can shoot par at their home course indicates to me that disc golf courses are too easy. You wouldn't see such a high percentage with traditional golf.

I can't answer the poll until I fully comprehend... What is Par? ;)

I feel your pain.

But the O.P. defined it, for the sake of this thread, as whatever the course designer deemed "par".

Which means he's asking more about the courses and signmakers than the players themselves.

And which means my answer is NO. On my home course I average about +8 on one layout, +15 on the other. (On my prior home course, I averaged -15. I need to go back there and improve my game by 20 strokes or so, I guess).

My home course is Castle Hayne. No white tees, they're all Blues.
Par is 64. 64 on The Castle is about a 950-rated round.
I'm about 900-rated, so I par it occasionally, even sub-par now and then.
But I usually score in the 66-69 range.

Well you have to take into account that online scores and actual scores are typically a bit different if you catch my drift. Also, keep in mind that the question is "is it possible for you to shoot par on your home course" as opposed to "do you always shoot par on your home course".

My home course is the oaks in Mokena il. If I follow the stated pars ill end up around 20 under par. When we throw everything as a 3 ill still end up around 4 under.

my home course is cedar hills in raleigh and i usually shoot -2 to -7 with most of my rounds closer to -2.

My home course from the blue tees: nope
My home course from the mixed set or amateur tees: yes

The long tees are almost 7500' with absolutely brutal rough. I once scored a +1, but that was an incredible round. Usually I am +6 to +9.

Scored a -5 from the mixed set of tees a month ago, tho. :)

I have no idea what the stated par is for this course. I play everything as a 3.

Haven't shot par at Seneca since the redesign to 27 holes, best has been a 83. I was -3 after the first 18 once but didn't have time to finish the last loop (19-27).

I'd take some of those responses with a grain of salt. I'm sure that some of those 91% can probably throw a disc over 900' from the tee :\
