You know you're addicted to DG when...

Planning on going to see my Dad, who I have not seen in 5 years, and looking at what disc golf courses are near where he lives

Your wife wakes you up in the middle of the night with a bloody nose because you didn't realize you were dreaming of throwing a disc into some heavy headwinds and smacked her square in the face:mad::mad::eek::doh:

Ouch! Hope she's OK.

I have the occasional dg dream, and I hate them. In most of them I never even get to throw a disc for some reason. Either I can't find my bag, or I'm just watching someone else play, etc.

Last night, though, I got in one throw in my dream. It really did just snow here again a couple of days ago. So in my dream I was going to play some snow golf. For whatever brilliant reason, I was throwing a white Aviar. I threw it around some trees into the woods. Then I realized, and even said in my dream to someone I must have been playing with... "I guess I'll never find that one since I didn't put any ribbon on it." And that was the end of the dream. Of course, that's probably better than if I'd searched for a half hour in my dream, only to never find the disc. :|

I was tossing the tennis ball in the back yard for the dog and tossed one over the fence into the pool. First thought in my head...Man I grip locked that one bad!

That is good, had me laughing for sure.

...you dream about a hole that you've never played nor seen.

Fyi it was a short 250ish down hill, mando right of a pine tree to left turning fairway. A sparse line of trees are alinged behind the mando. I was going to go with a powered down Wraith hard spike hyzer to 'crap shoot' the tree line and hopefully minimize any down hill skip, or a powered down Wraith pulled high and right for a stall out fade (another crap shoot) with the down hill skip. I figured my spike hyzer would either be way short or too fast and stopped by the tree line, whereas the latter option would either play the down hill skip well past the tree line or at worst be stopped at the tree line as well. I step up to the tee pad feeling a slight head wind when I hear eee eee eee eee....

i also had a dream . . .

i've been on a bit of a wizard obsession lately, finding identical putters to cycle for driving/putting/approaching.

i stopped a couple weeks ago and put my seasoned old-run organic back in the bag and started just drilling putts again. it's a magical disc. the reason i took it out is because i don't want to be high and dry with an OOP run from gateway when it finally kicks the bucket. i feel guilty because i gave it the pavement treatment and don't know how much artificial age i added onto it.

ANYWAY.

i had a dream i found its twin, haha. i was so ludicrously happy in my dream, thinking about it right now seems absurd. it really is the perfect putter. flat, stiff and grippy. you have to feel it to understand how perfect it is. it goes in the bucket when it really has no business doing so. i woke up and was sorely disappointed. :(

When your office tells you that you may go to China for 3 weeks and you get upset that they don't have disc golf there.

....or when you're being sent to Augusta, Georgia, and you're happy because there are.

...when you are trying to watch the Olympic Cross-country ski races, and all you can see are great fairways and basket locations.
