The Inevitable 2022 Pros Switching Sponsors Thread

I take it you haven't tried one then :D

No man, but alot of newer players in my area swear by them. I have that slot filled with an overstable MVP Atom.

I borrowed the image and posted it in one of my local DG groups. It should bring a smile to their faces, lol.

My english is not 100% but i still found this first sentence from Prodigys facebook quite fun.

They used "is staying with us" instead of something like "extends her contract" or "sign on for two more years"

It feels like "wow sombody is staying with us"

Lorentzen is staying with us for the next two years! She is a decorated Norwegian Champion, and we are excited to watch her back in the States after a strong 6th place finish in Vegas and another top-15 at The Memorial in 2020 prior to travel restrictions. She's currently scheduled to be at the first Disc Golf Pro Tour, The Las Vegas Challenge.

It can definitely be interpreted that way.

Kevin Jones already said he signed on with Prodigy for another 4yrs (see post #943), and he has to be one of their best and most recognizable players.

That said, it seems Prodigy is losing more players than it's signing, at least in terms of players with world-wide name recognition.

Guess we'll see how all this plays out.

Looks like Latitude64 will announce a new player tomorrow. My guess/hope is the highest rated European MPO (at least he was in September), Linus Carlsson, who left Innova for a new sponsor 2022.

Calvin posting on Instagram he has some announcements coming. Retail, dye, apparel, and management.

I'd expect retail sponsor would be somebody like OTB, Infinite, or whoever that will have some special releases for him. Some people are guessing Sunking due to the Florida connection. I could see OTB as he's a fan favorite trash talking savage on the skins videos.

I think the big thing is the management announcement. Seems like he could've secured most of those on his own just due to popularity and play. Dark horse gut reaction is that "retail sponsorship" is an Easter egg, and there will be more to his announcement than meets the eye. I could see that being a mixed bag deal with a retailer.

We've said before, he's young and has an engineering degree. If the opportunity is there to really make a pay jump go do it. Seems silly to let yourself be undervalued when you have a pretty solid fallback option.

Or maybe Innova is realizing the agent thing is gonna be necessary to land top talent, and he's gonna announce a multi year extension and be their top gun.
